Bargy Lady - 13:55 Sligo

Bargy Lady was the best of these over hurdles and this looks a good opportunity for her to make a winning start over fences. She was a useful handicap hurdler last season and, granted she takes to these larger obstacles, there doesn't look anything in this line-up strong enough to trouble her. Fellow chase debutante Dawn Shadow could prove the biggest danger, while Polar Present sets the standard of those with experience.

Flaviana - 15:05 Sligo

Flaviana was strong in the betting when belatedly opening her account in this sphere at Kilbeggan three weeks ago and looks on a fair mark back in a handicap on that form. She wasn't always fluent, but found plenty to lead at the last and was well on top at the finish. Eight Till Late was a close third when last seen in this sphere in May and is fit from the Flat, while Penny Jane needs keeping an eye on after 12 months off.

Kilbrew Gold - 15:40 Sligo

Kilbrew Gold only had three starts over hurdles, failing to make an impact, but he is the type to make a much better chaser, as he showed on his debut in this sphere when finishing third at Downpatrick when last seen in June. Runner-up on his sole start in points, he is entitled to improve from his debut now, and can prove too strong for the standard-setter Ballybrowney Jack.
