Nick Shiambouros was on the mark again yesterday when his place selection delivered at BSP 7.01. Nick hopes to end his current stint in the chair with a winner from Bangor and Wolverhampton...
"I think this lightly raced individual will be suited by the extra yardage, and is open to improvement"
13:35 Bangor - Chalonnial
Chalonnial is worth an interest in this novices' hurdle.
This gelding finished a distant third to Without Limites in a Listed bumper at Listowel last spring. He began to feel the strain half a mile from home and finished well beaten. He is best judged on his impressive victory in a bumper at Wincanton in February. I am prepared to give him another chance and represents value at 7.26/1 on the exchange.
Venetia Williams sends out favourite Burrows Park who is trading at 2.77/4. This French import finished second to River Frost on his UK debut last month. He delivered a challenge two from home, but was easily brushed aside. His price is short enough on what he has achieved so far.
15:00 Wolverhampton - Dandilion
Dandilion could run well at a decent price in this maiden.
This filly finished third to Monsieur Paddy at Newcastle earlier this month. She held every chance a furlong from home, but failed to quicken when the chips were down. I think this lightly raced individual will be suited by the extra yardage, and is open to improvement. She is trading at 9.28/1 on the exchange and I have backed her at that price.
Song Of Shadows in an interesting runner. This former Godolphin inmate makes his debut for new connections after a long absence. He has the form in the book to take this, but I am not prepared to take 3.45 to find out.
