Timeform pick out their three best bets from day three of Royal Ascot...

Mori - 15:40 Ascot

Mori is beautifully-bred and has come a long way in such a short space of time, looking every inch a pattern-class performer at Goodwood 4 weeks ago, and the step up to 1½m looks set to unlock further improvement. Aidan O'Brien has a good record in this race in recent years and his Alluringly has solid form to her name, notably a third in the Oaks, and has to be respected, while John Gosden's Gracious Diana remains with potential having got stuck in the mud at Newbury last month.

Order of St George - 16:20 Royal Ascot

Order of St George hasn't been at his best in two starts so far this season but this race, which he won so impressively last season, has likely been his main target and his yard, who won back-to-back Gold Cups with Yeats, will have him spot on for this. If running to that sort of level or indeed the level which saw him finishing third in last year's Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe, he will be very hard to beat. Last year's third Sheikhzayedroad can place again, while the admirable Big Orange and Sweet Selection complete the shortlist.

Son of The Stars - 17:00 Royal Ascot

Plenty of unexposed and progressive sorts, but none more so than Son of The Stars, who still looked to be learning when he was narrowly outpointed by Ronald R at Newmarket last time and, with improvement anticipated, Richard Hannon's charge can be expected to reverse the placings here. Hat-trick seekers Leader's Legacy, Afaak and City of Joy are all live dangers, while Tricorn also makes the shortlist.
