Timeform pick out three bets from Vaal on Thursday.
"...potentially well handicapped here, and he ought go close if in the same form..."
Pantsula - 11:10 Vaal
Pantsula is expected to sport first time blinkers this morning which may be all he needs to get off the mark at the sixth attempt. His last two runs have seen him idle in front over the six furlongs here, but dropped back in trip he is expected to bowl along in front under Craig Zackey, and if he can repeat his half-length third to Prince Of War and Finding Troy earlier this month, then Pantsula will take all the catching here.
No Mans Land - 12:10 Vaal
No Mans Land showed some serious improvement last time out when only going under by less than a length to Highway Eightyfive after being stepped up to this mile at Turffontein, and if the son of Oratorio can repeat that effort off the same rating here then he will clearly take all the beating. One win from five starts doesn't tell the full story with some decent enough efforts in defeat, but it's the step up in trip that seems sure to bring more victories for No Mans Land who has so much more to offer at the tender age of three.
Premier Show - 13:35 Vaal
Premier Show has already won three of his ten starts for trainer Clinton Binda, the latest at Turffontein in December over a fraction shy of six furlongs. He was put up to a rating of 80 for that and has tasted defeat twice off this rating, but was only beaten a neck over course and distance with the third three lengths adrift, and many feel he is lucky to have not been given and extra pound or two. That effectively leaves Premier Show as potentially well handicapped here, and he ought go close if in the same form this afternoon.
