Hampton Court - 12:35 Turffontein

Hampton Court is so far clear on form from all of his rivals here that surely only something special among the unraced entries can stop him getting off the mark this afternoon. A debut third to Quinlan over this trip on the inner course in a race working out really well (the winner and fourth scored again next time out and the second third and fifth all placed) was followed by a second over the same course and distance last time out.

Loyal Lieutenant - 13:45 Turffontein

Loyal Lieutenant can make the most of the late absence of Swing Vote and come home in front of this field for trainer Robbie Sage and jockey Muzi Yeni. Three races so far have seen a place in each including a third over this trip on the inner track here in May last time. Rested since to mature and strengthen, he should be more than capable now dropped in class.

Winter Watch - 14:55 Turffontein

Winter Watch can be forgiven her last effort when a well-beaten tenth of twelve when tried over six furlongs (failed to see out the extra furlong), and she is far better judged on her half-length win at Vaal in July when beating Rosie Bubbles in a Juvenile Plate over this trip. She has finished second here on the inner track off 4 lb lower and seems to be improving all the time, and Winter Watch may be a step ahead of the handicapper for now.
