THE SANDS produced his best effort yet when second here last time and looks sure to take all the beating with further improvement on the cards. Lemon Drop Shot is preferred for the forecast spot, while Captain's Alpha is another to note.

#4 WITHOUT LIMITS - Turffontein R3 (11:10 GMT)

WITHOUT LIMITS remains a maiden after 13 starts, but she clearly has the ability to win races and will find few better opportunities than this to belatedly open her account. Destiny's Game and Jay Bomb head the list of dangers.

#2 CHEVRON - Turffontein R5 (12:10 GMT)

CHEVRON failed to meet market expectations when only third here last time, but he still wasn't beaten far and probably wouldn't need to improve much on that form to get his head in front this time round. Lasair and The Brass Way are next best.
