Nick Shiambouros was on the mark yesterday when Postponed won the Juddmonte International. Nick returns to York with two selections to end his current stint in the tipping chair...
"There was no fluke about this victory and further improvement is likely"
15:40 York - Seventh Heaven
Seventh Heaven is taken to land this Group 1 event.
This filly put in a much improved effort last time out when beating Architecture in the Irish Oaks at the Curragh last month. She took the lead inside the final furlong, and pulled clear to win with complete authority. There was no fluke about this victory and further improvement is likely.
She is currently trading at 5.49/2 on the exchange which is more than fair.
Stablemate Found is the favourite at 2.8615/8. This beautifully bred filly finished second to My Dream Boat in the Prince Of Wales's Stakes at Royal Ascot. She took the lead well over a furlong from home, but was collared by the game winner near the finish.
She is the clear form pick, but I think the selection will improve past her.
16:20 York - Anzhelika
I think Anzhelika could run in to a place in this Listed contest.
This Galileo filly is unbeaten in two starts and was most impressive when beating Soul Intent at Kempton earlier this month. She took the lead two furlongs from home and pulled clear to win with the minimum of fuss. The water is deeper today, but I think she has a lot more to offer and I will be backing her in the place market at around 3.7511/4 on the exchange.
Sir Michael Stoute sends out favourite Abingdon who is trading at 3.45. This lightly raced filly finished second to Fireglow in the Chalice Stakes at HQ and is steadily improving with racing. I think she will move forward again and deserves her position at the head of the market.
