Back
Multamis - 19:10 Epsom
MULTAMIS can have a line put through his last run where he was unsuited by underfoot conditions and lost a shoe before dropping out of contention. Back on a firmer surface today leaves him to pick up where he left off at Epsom where he readily won a 0-80 handicap against his own age. He was running on strongly at the finish that day and despite being against his elders this time around, he can improve for the step up in trip and register another success.
Lay
December Second - 16:10 Hamilton
DECEMBER SECOND is a fairly useful gelding on the flat but race conditions today might be enough of a factor to take him on. Having been purchased cheaply by Phil Kirby, he's won twice in bumpers, only being beaten in Punchestown's Grade one contest. He then confirmed himself as a dual-purpose horse, competing in two novices on the flat. He raced over further than a mile and a half each time and the drop back four furlongs in trip here might be enough for New Arrangement to beat him for speed.
SmartStat
Flashing Appoach - 18:35 Epsom
26% - Silvestre De Sousa's strike rate at EPSOM DOWNS
Goodwood Rebel sets the standard in this but it is only a fair one and he could be vulnerable to a newcomer of potential. FLASHING APPROACH is related to a few two-year-old winners and looks to have been found a nice opportunity to start his career off with a win. Silvestre De Sousa has an excellent record around Epsom and him teaming up with Mark Johnston for this son of New Approach could further enhance his record.
