#7 WESTERN DANCE - Vaal R5 (13:30 BST)

WESTERN DANCE has found only the progressive Emily Hobhouse too strong the last twice, notably pushing her all the way at Turffontein earlier this month, and that rival's absence today gives her no excuses as she attempts to go one better. Factor Fifty and Kurt's Approval could prove the biggest stumbling blocks instead.

#5 SAMMI MOOSA - Vaal R8 (15:15 BST)

SAMMI MOOSA doesn't win very often (3/57 in her career), but it's hard to fault her consistency of late, having filled the runner-up spot in each of her last three starts, and she appeals as a solid alternative to Florida Quays, who looks likely to go off at prohibitive odds. Samarra completes the shortlist.

#13 WAQAAS - Vaal R9 (15:50 BST)

WAQAAS rewarded each-way supporters with a good third at this venue two weeks ago, and he could be worth chancing again at similarly rewarding odds, with the extra furlong here in his favour (sole previous win came over C&D). Corrido and Festive Linngari are others to consider in an open heat.
