Nick Shiambouros hopes to end his current stint in the tipping chair with a couple of winners from the NH meeting at Taunton...
"I think she will relish the extra yardage and is attractively priced at 7.613/2 on the exchange"
12:00 Taunton - Brahms De Clermont
Brahms De Clermont looks like the horse to beat in this interesting novices hurdle.
Last time out over this course he was most impressive when beating Snapdragon by a wide margin. He scooted clear two flights from home, and won with any amount in hand. He had previously finished a distant second to the progressive Momella, who ran well in a Grade 2 at Cheltenham last month. Even with a penalty he looks a cut above these. At present he is trading at 2.8415/8 on the exchange.
I was against Parthenius last time out when he finished third to Rockalzaro under a penalty, and I will be opposing him again. He will have his work cut out to trouble the selection. At present he is trading at 6.25/1 on the exchange.
15:50 Taunton - Sheelbewhatsheelbe
Sheelbewhatsheelbe should run well at a decent price in this long distance handicap hurdle.
This mare put in a much improved effort when finishing second to Outrageous Romana at Uttoxeter last month. She put in some good work in the closing stages, and grabbed the runner-up spot near the finish. I think she will relish the extra yardage and is attractively priced at 7.613/2 on the exchange.
Cheque En Blanc heads the market at 4.57/2. He was turned over at short odds last time out at Fontwell, but is another who will appreciate the longer trip.
Sahara Haze merits consideration. She is winless in 17 starts, but will get every yard of this three mile trip and is running well at present. She looks saver material at 12.5 on the exchange.
