Nick Shiambouros was on the mark yesterday when Alwasmiya won at Nottingham. Nick hopes to end his current stint in the tipping chair with a couple of winners from Chelmsford...
"I think he will find this company more to his liking and should go close"
Morlock can get back to winning ways in this novice stakes.
Last time out at HQ he was outclassed behind Elarqam in a Group 3. He is best judged on his game victory over Barton Mills at Kempton. He took the lead inside the final furlong, and held on in determined fashion. The runner-up has since won impressively giving the form a nice boost. I think he will find this company more to his liking and should go close. At present he is trading at [4.0] on the exchange.
Rua Augusta could give the selection most to do. He is improving with racing, and finished a creditable third to Chilean over this course on his latest start. At present he is trading at [5.5] on the exchange.
Boynton will be suited by the conditions of this interesting contest.
This colt has not been seen since finishing third to War Decree in the Vintage at Goodwood last year. He had previously won the Superlative at HQ and escapes a penalty for that success. The stable is in decent form, and this half-brother to the smart Constitution has scope for further improvement. At present he is trading at [2.12] on the exchange.
Red Verdon is worth mentioning. He finished second to Helene Charisma in the Group1 Grand Prix de Paris last year, but his form has tapered off a bit this season. In addition the stable is out of form which gives cause for concern. He may give the selection a race if bouncing back to his very best.
