Timeform take you through the card for day two at York's Ebor Festival.

"That was her first try over this trip and there was plenty of encouragement to be taken from the way she finished her race..."

13:55 - Rusumaat is respected, however RAINBOW MIST's (12) form looks strong and he can win again. Though his two victories have come over the minimum trip, he was strong at the finish when winning here last time and he has a good chance on ratings. Danielsflyer has been given a break since looking unlucky not to win when a nose second to Legendary Lunch in a listed race at Epsom last time. However, the second selection is MAN ABOUT TOWN (8). Though still a maiden, the locally owned colt ran well in defeat over C&D last month and the combination of a first-time tongue tie and the booking of Pat Smullen catches the eye.

14:30 - The unbeaten FAIR EVA (3) looks a banker for the Placepot here. Roger Charlton's Frankel filly is a long way clear on ratings after storming clear in the Princess Margaret Stakes at Ascot and the ante-post favourite for next year's 1000 Guineas could be in a different league here. Queen Kindly's dam and grandam both won this race, so she must be respected, but it is Nations Alexander who looks most interesting of the outsiders. She is likely to be up with the pace at a track that can suit prominent racers, did best of those who chased Fair Eva home at Haydock, and represents a yard that won this race in 2011 (Best Terms) and 2014 (Tiggy Wiggy).

15:05 - MUSTASHRY (18) proved better than ever when landing a competitive three-year-old handicap at Ascot last time, bouncing back from a below-par effort in the Britannia Stakes at that venue and giving the impression there could yet be more to come. Indeed, the form of that race is beginning to work out well (runner-up has since been placed in listed company) and a repeat of that effort would appear to give him sound claims of making the frame at the very least here. He is joined in our Placepot perm by FIRMAMENT (15), who was a comfortable winner of his most recent outing at Chelmsford and is the chosen mount of Danny Tudhope from five David O'Meara-trained runners.

15:40 - Found will probably be very difficult to keep out of the places given she has finished outside the first three only once from 16 starts, but she's a short price considering this is by no means a penalty kick. Found's Irish Oaks-winning stablemate Seventh Heaven will have her supporters too, but it could pay to take a chance on two at bigger prices, namely QUEEN'S TRUST (10) and FURIA CRUZADA (3), with the latter of particular interest representing the Sir Michael Stoute stable that has won this race a joint-record nine times. She produced a career-best to chase home Minding in the Nassau Stakes at Goodwood last time and should be suited by the return to this longer trip.

16:20 - ABINGDON (5) fared better than the bare result when second in this grade at Newmarket last time, forced to deliver her challenge from further back than ideal and ultimately doing extremely well to get within two lengths of the better-placed winner. That was her first try over this trip and there was plenty of encouragement to be taken from the way she finished her race. That form gives her the edge over Glamorous Approach on Timeform ratings and Abingdon makes plenty of appeal with the Placepot in mind here. Twitch can usually be relied upon to run her race at this level and could be the one to give the selection most to do.

16:55 - JADAAYIL (10) looked a fairly useful prospect when shedding her maiden tag at Newmarket in April, travelling strongly throughout on the front end and always doing enough to hold off the challenge of the fast-finishing runner-up. Her subsequent absence from the track is an obvious concern, but the form of that race could hardly have worked out better (second, third and fourth have all won since) and - open to more improvement after just three starts - Jadaayil appears to be on a fair mark for her handicap debut and is expected to be thereabouts. The same comment also applies to MUSTIQUE (13), who returned to form at Musselburgh recently and is worth persevering with at this trip.
