Timeform take you through the card at Wolverhampton on Tuesday.
"This mark should be well within her remit, and with not many other prominent racers in this field, she may get the run of the race."
13:50 - A poor contest, where few have any recent form to go off. The standard is set by Caledonia Laird, who was strong in the finish when scoring over C&D last week. He carries a penalty today, but it may not be enough to stop him in this contest and he can go close. Another one to consider is Eastern Dragon, who requires something of a leap of faith after failing to post anything of note recently. However, he's on a career-low mark and has his first run for a new yard today, with Martin Harley taking the reigns from an apprentice, and he can have a say off a basement weight.
14:20 - Mr Christopher could well be given a sizeable form boost thirty minutes before he runs if Caledonia Laird can go well in the first division of this, and the selection can take advantage of the same mark by getting back to winning ways here. Many of these again have little form to go off, and it is tough to find a suitable alternative to the selection. Basingstoke has proved to be slightly frustrating of late and looks more suited to fibresand, filling the runner-up spot on his last two starts, whilst Princess Preacher also has to contend with the switch of surface and a higher mark.
14:55 - A wide-open affair, where many have a serious chance of taking the spoils. A narrow preference goes to Rockwood, who's in good heart at the moment, posting a couple of wins recently, and looks the type to progress further. He's 7 lbs higher in the weights today, but that mark may not be beyond him, and he could well improve again to have a serious say. Moonlight Venture heads the list of dangers after scoring at Southwell last time out, but will need more again under a penalty today. Almanack is an interesting alternative on a low mark on his first start for an in-form stable and can figure, whilst Mr Red Clubs' recent form suggests his turn could well be near.
15:30 - Another puzzle on a particularly tricky card, and it may be worth chancing Astra Hall, who has steadily improved on every start so far in 2016 for Michael Appleby. The selection is on a dramatically lower mark compared to last year having tumbled down the weights, and has the frame on her last three marks. This mark should be well within her remit, and with not many other prominent racers in this field, she may get the run of the race. Star Ascending is switched to tapeta having just failed to reel in a rival on the fibresand last time and is respected, whilst Dove Mountain was an eye-catching third yesterday and can go close again if unaffected by the rapid turnaround.
16:00 - Archie Stevens is very much at his best when he is allowed to dominate small fields, and he could well have been found an opportunity to do exactly that today. The selection is dropped in class today on favourable terms, and may well have too much from the front for the other three. National Service has been running creditably of late, but finds himself on a less than favourable mark today, whilst Secret Millionaire won here over the minimum trip a fortnight ago, but will need to show more now stepped up to six furlongs.
16:35 - Wolowitz showed the benefit of being gelded when posting much improved form to score at Southwell in December, and has a great chance to follow up here today and give his yard another win in the race, following on from 12 months ago. Silk Bow was running in much higher company last season and is a threat on tapeta debut, whilst Gorokai can go close if repeating his last run.
17:10 - Kaisan was turned over at relatively short odds last time, but he raced closer to the pace than ideal that day, and may well be better suited to the hold-up style of his partner today. He's entitled to come on for his last run, and could pinch it late on. West Coast Flyer was green on debut, but will come on for that, whilst Zio Gianni boasts the most experience and can feature for his in-form yard.
17:40 - A very ordinary event to round off the card, and Footlight looks the best option in this. The Richard Fahey filly is unexposed, and can build on a career best effort last time to open her account here. Big Shoes can feature now found a realistic assignment, whilst Edith Weston can feature in each way calculations at a huge price upped in trip again.
