17:45 - PICK OF ANY (1) fared better than the bare result when third on his most recent outing at Kempton, forced to deliver his challenge from further back than ideal and ultimately doing extremely well to finish as close as he did. He takes a drop in class on debut for an in-form yard (10 winners from last 29 runners) here and is fancied to confirm the promise of last time with a defeat of Lizzy's Dream.

18:15 - TRED SOFTLY (6) was below-par when down the field on his most recent outing at Kempton, but may have found the race coming too soon just eight days after a determined win at this venue. He has been given plenty of time to recover from those exertions and, with the form of his earlier victory here working out particularly well (runner-up and sixth have both won since), Tred Softly is taken to bounce back and can regain the winning thread in this second leg of the Placepot.

18:45 - DANDILION (6) looked an unlucky loser when third over this C&D 11 days ago, still having plenty to do as the field entered the straight and staying on strongly in the closing stages to be beaten less than a length. He has shown enough the last twice to suggest he is up to winning a race from this mark and, with the possibility of more to come after just five starts, Dandilion is expected to see off the attentions of Roaring Rory and can open his account.

19:15 - GILGAMESH (3) looked badly in need of the experience when down the field on his racecourse debut at Newmarket in July and duly showed the benefit of that initial outing with a ready success at Nottingham last time. That form gives him the edge over Letmestopyouthere on Timeform ratings and, while his absence from the track is a slight concern, Gilgamesh is fancied to take advantage of what looks a lenient mark on handicap debut and makes most appeal with the Placepot in mind.

19:45 - BISMARCK THE FLYER (1) is consistent and again ran well when fifth on his most recent outing at Newcastle. He arguably wasn't seen to best effect over aninsufficient trip on that occasion and is better-judged on the form of his earlier third over this C&D. He looks sure to be thereabouts if reproducing that level of form here and is taken to continue jockey Lewis Edmunds' fine form of late (five winners from last 10 rides), with Lord Cooper feared most of the remainder.

20:15 - LOGI (3) proved disappointing towards the end of last season, but he has shown himself to be a fair performer on his day and is interesting on debut for a new yard here. The pick of last year's efforts set a clear standard on form and he makes more appeal than the unexposed pair of Lostock and Jack The Truth in this final leg of the Placepot, although his four-month absence from the track is a slight concern.

Recommendation:

Win back BISMARCK THE FLYER in the 19:45 at Wolverhampton

Placepot permutation:

17:45 - 1
18:15 - 6
18:45 - 6
19:15 - 3
19:45 - 1
20:15 - 3
