14:10 - BANDON ROC (1) showed much improved form to get off the mark at Taunton and created an even better impression when following up from the same mark at Huntingdon six days ago. He looks potentially very well-treated under a 7 lb penalty here and, while it remains to be seen how much those recent exertions have taken out of him, Bandon Roc comes here in far better form than most in this field and simply has to enter calculations with the Placepot in mind.

14:40 - TWO SWALLOWS (6) showed improved form when making a successful handicap debut at Doncaster in December and ran to a similar level in defeat when second on her most recent outing at Wetherby. She was simply unlucky to bump into an extremely well-treated sort on that occasion and certainly showed enough to suggest she will remain competitive from this mark. She remains open to more improvement after just two starts for this yard and looks sure to be thereabouts, with the thriving What A Diva feared most of the remainder.

15:10 - KRACKATOA KING (1) looked in need of the run when fourth on debut for this yard at Bangor in December and he duly showed the benefit of that first outing in 2016/17 with a good second at Chepstow last time. That form leaves him 3 lb clear of Yanmare on Timeform ratings and, while the drop back to this trip is a slight concern, Krackatoa King should be able to stay in touch wearing a visor for the first time and can stay on best of all to continue trainer Kerry Lee's fine form of late (four winners from last 16 runners).

15:40 - SOLIGHOSTER (1) looked a fairly useful prospect when making a successful hurdling debut at Fontwell 17 days ago, travelling strongly on the front end throughout and quickly drawing clear with the minimum of fuss. He is clearly held in high regard by connections (entered in the Supreme and Neptune at next month's Cheltenham Festival) and can defy a penalty in what doesn't look the strongest race of its kind here.

16:10 - LUNAR FLOW (2) showed little when down the field on his chasing debut at Wincanton in January, but he proved a different proposition switched to more positive tactics at Uttoxeter on Saturday and appears potentially very well-treated under a 7 lb penalty here. The quick turnaround is an obvious concern, but Lunar Flow should prove extremely difficult to beat if arriving in the same mood and makes most appeal in the Placepot for his in-form yard (two winners from last seven runners).

16:40 - THE MISTRESS (9) looked a stayer when third on her Rules debut at Uttoxeter in December, but she certainly showed signs of ability under a considerate ride and this stiffer track is expected to see her in an even better light. Trainer Dan Skelton has a particularly good record with his runners in this sphere and a much better effort can be expected from The Mistress in this final leg of the Placepot, with Bridget Andrews' 3 lb claim fancied to give her the edge.

Recommendation:

Win back KRACKATOA KING in the 15:10 at Towcester

Placepot permutation:

14:10 - 1
14:40 - 6
15:10 - 1
15:40 - 1
16:10 - 2
16:40 - 9
