13:50 - Volpone Jelois was a little disappointing when only third in a handicap here last time (didn't build on his C&D maiden win) and MOHAAYED (5) looks a solid favourite and will surely be very hard to beat if running to the sort of form which saw him finish second to Elgin at Kempton on hurdling debut in December. He was beaten further by that rival when both ran in the Grade 2 Rossington Main last time, but is worth another chance to build on his promising start.

14:20 - The lightly raced and progressive ALIANDY (2) looks a good option here after he ran a career-best when finishing second at Doncaster in December. That form looks good (fourth won next time out, while the winner and the third both placed) and there is every chance that Aliandy will be capable of even better if they go a good clip here (strong-travelling hold-up horse).

14:50 - Hint of Mint rather had the run of things when winning here last time and could be one to take on. DAKLONDIKE (8) got off the mark at Lingfield in November at the second time of asking and should be capable of better now returning from a short break. GO LONG (1) has some solid form from last season (beat Charbel in a novice at Doncaster) and will be involved if ready to go back from a break.

15:20 - An interesting race for the grade. BIG WINDMILL (5) looks the sort to make a chaser - an ex-pointer who was quickly switched to fences after three runs in novice hurdles - and didn't get a chance to show what he could do at Ludlow last month when taking a false step/unseating his rider after the fourth. He is worth another chance.

15:50 - VERNI (8) travels like one who will appreciate better ground (was very testing at Haydock last time) and is expected to go close, with the form of his last run working out well - the winner Clyne and the third Baby King both won their next starts.

16:20 - SIR IVAN (2) was a useful handicap hurdler and was in the process of running well on just his second chasing start at Newbury last time (went with plenty of zest by fell two out). MARCILHAC (6) has had a rather fragmented time of things with Venetia Williams so far, but he should make a chaser and has dropped to a lenient looking mark based on the pick of his hurdling form.

16:50 - With Kerry Lee in such good form, it'd be no surprise to see Scales belatedly return to winning ways after taking a drop in the weights under the talented conditional Stan Sheppard.

Win back ALIANDY in the 14:20

Placepot permutation:

13:50 - 5
14:20 - 2
14:50 - 1, 8
15:20 - 5

16:20 - 2, 6
