14:00 - An open start to the card, but JACK SNIPE (2) was having only his second start over the larger obstacles when an emphatic winner at Taunton in December and may have more in the locker yet. His yard has been amongst the winners recently and he is taken to land the opener. Mister Dick and Kilcascan look the principal dangers, more so than The Last Bridge who should appreciate the step back up in trip but who can race lazily.

14:30 - HONKYTONKTENNESSEE's (2) profile for his previous yard was rather patchy, but it may well be a different story for Dan Skelton, and following a winning start over fences last week, he is very much the one to beat. Fellow last-time-out winner Shoofly Milly is feared, however Derrick d'Anjou should relish the further test of stamina here (longer trip and plenty of pace likely) and he is respected.

15:00 - The form of EATON HILL's (1) first two hurdles outings (won, then finished third, both at this track) is the best on offer in this small-field novice hurdle so he gets the nod. He wasn't so good at Uttoxeter last time but this step up in trip is likely to suit. Gray Day also has a poor run to put behind him, however that was on heavy ground and these conditions will suit better - he's the selection's biggest threat ahead of Thisonetime.

15:35 - STORMING STRUMPET (4) has been in good form since the turn of the year, running up to her best despite operating from a long way out the weights at Cheltenham on Thursday. It's wise to have two on side here, however, with ALTIEPIX (2) given the nod. The former Gordon Elliott-trained Altiepix was pulled up when last seen at the track in March but he bled there and is worth another chance here, with the possibility of an easy lead a very real one.

16:10 - The in-form Dan Skelton probably holds the key to this, given he saddles three of the eight runners, and in spite of jockey bookings, DEFINING YEAR (7) is chanced to step up on his stable debut back over a more suitable trip. Starlight Court has plenty of ability, but his will to win is in question, so Elysian Prince is feared most.

16:40 - Recent course winner Deise Vu is respected, certainly more so than the less resolute pair of The Wexfordian and Guanciale, however BALLYCASH (2) represents a yard that do well with their handicap chase debutants and is preferred. He was a respectable third to Beggar's Wishes in a handicap hurdle at Bangor last time, not getting a clear run on the home turn, and this former Irish point winner looks fairly treated on this chasing debut.

17:10 - BOUND FOR GLORY's chasing exploits in 2015 is the pick of the Rules form on show and, arriving in good heart from points, a solid effort looks assured from him, so he gets the vote in a tricky hunter chase. I Believe is something of an unknown quantity and is well respected along with The Banastoir, whose last couple of efforts show he retains plenty of ability.

Placepot permutation:

14:00 - 2
14:30 - 2
15:00 - 1
15:35 - 2, 4
16:10 - 7
16:40 - 2
