13:40 - Georgio hails from a yard who do well here and should improve for the step up to a mile (in line with the dam's side of his pedigree), but DAILY TRADER (6) ran his best race to date on his handicap debut over C&D last time, and could yet have more to offer. With no fears about the surface, he represents the more solid of the two market principals for Placepot purposes.

14:10 - Treaty of Rome probably would have won here last time with a better break and it is no surprise to see him near the head of the betting. A slow start would make things difficult for him again, however, and his high draw is probably not ideal either, so he is worth taking on for the Placepot. The Scot Dixon yard have been under a cloud for some time and are now back in much better form, and it could be worth including both of his runners here. The penalised WIMBOLDSLEY (10) won well over C&D last time (up with a strong pace throughout) and should give a good account again as should SPOWARTICUS (7) who returned to form with a good fourth here last time.

14:40 - DUNGANNON (2) extended his good record at this track when second in a handicap off a BHA mark of 82 last time, and looks to have been found a good opportunity to get back to winning ways in this seller. Moondyne Joe is unexposed and may be a threat, but it is concerning that he returns from an absence in this grade (won on handicap debut when last seen).

15:10 - MEADWAY (6) has an excellent record here and was narrowly edged out by Razin' Hell last time. A 2 lb swing in the weights could see him reverse that form today, however, and he is worth including along with SHOWDAISY (7) who looked a natural on this surface when winning here in November, and was perhaps not best placed last time in that race beind Razin' Hell.

15:40 - ISHARAH (4) showed a good attitude to land a double at Newcastle last time and as a strong-travelling front-runner, looks the type to be suited by the fibresand. WESTERN PRINCE (7) bolted up here on his penultimate start and is well worth another chance, having not been seen to best effect last time at Chelmsford (poorly placed).

16:10 - SAMPHIRE COAST (1) scored readily over C&D last time on just his second start in handicaps and should go close to landing a double, up 5 lb in the weights but kept to the same grade.

Recommendation:

Win back SAMPHIRE COAST in the 16:10

Placepot permutation:

13:40 - 6
14:10 - 7, 10
14:40 - 2
15:10 - 6, 7
15:40 - 4, 7
16:10 - 1
