Timeform take you through the card at Plumpton on Monday.
"The early support suggests that his shrewd trainer holds him in high regard, and he’s fancied to defy the layoff with a big run on return..."
14:00 - Bella has to give away a lot of weight, but it's hard to look beyond David Pipe's mare, who's dropped markedly in class today. The selection was a big price when making a winning reappearance in a Class 2 handicap at Ludlow in December, but there was no fluke about the result, and she can land her third success over hurdles at a short price. Hurdling debutant Patronne is interesting at the bottom of the weights, and can chase the favourite home.
14:30 - This race revolves around Ar Mad, who takes a slightly unorthodox route to the Arkle at Cheltenham by appearing here. The biggest question mark for the selection could well be whether he can handle going left handed, having jumped badly right when well beaten on chase debut here in October. Gary Moore is keen to get a run into his Arkle fancy before Cheltenham, and he should go some way to dampening those doubts by winning easily today. Ar Mad has a hurdles victory at Plumpton to his name, has been excellent over the bigger obstacles since October, winning Graded races on his last two starts. The form of those Graded wins have been franked since by Vantieux and Bristol De Mai, and he should have no problem in dispatching the likes of Chill Factor and Alder Mairi, who are both racing from outside the handicap.
15:00 - It's interesting to see Rock Gone head the market this morning, despite being off the course for 423 days. The selection hasn't been seen since winning a maiden hurdle easily at Newbury in December, but arrives on a mark which could well be within his range. The early support suggests that his shrewd trainer holds him in high regard, and he's fancied to defy the layoff with a big run on return, to take his form to the next level. Billy No Name is better than his latest run suggests after encouraging run beforehand and can run well, whilst Fountains Blossom is going the right way.
15:30 - Darkestbeforedawn showed more promise on his last chase appearance compared to his form in 2013, and he could well be up to winning this off a career low mark. The selection is a tentative choice, but he handles the forecast heavy going, and there's a good chance he'll do better today if first-time blinkers can help him concentrate more on his jumping. Most of the field of six have a credible chance, and Arthamint could well be the biggest danger after a break, having not been at his best last time out, whilst The Cider Maker remains with potential in this sphere.
16:00 - Torero has made a good start for Gary Moore, with his two C&D starts yielding a win and a narrow defeat. He made up for a small step backwards at Fontwell with a career-best effort last time out, and he looks the one to side with despite a 4 lb rise in the weights, on ground he handles. An interesting alternative at a bigger price is Clonusker, who is the Timeform top rated for the contest. Linda Jewell's gelding landed back to back hurdle victories at the beginning of 2014, before failing in his hat-trick bid. He's entitled to have needed his run on reappearance and can go close if replicating his best form on ground he handles.
16:30 - With little form to go off, the newcomer Passing Du Moulin is given the nod to score on debut for his in-form yard. It's encouraging that Harry Whittington's gelding is strong in the market this morning, and he can making a winning start to his career. Lord Bryan is one of just two in the field with form to his name, and looked rough round the edges when running fourth on debut at Warwick in May. He's got the benefit of experience on his side this time round and has every chance.
