14:10 - King of Paris is from an excellent family and it will be interesting to see how strong he is in the market before his debut for Richard Hughes, but the one that sets the standard by some way is PARTY TIGER (8). Richard Fahey's runner was sent off at 15/8 on debut at Redcar but was too green to do himself justice. He was much-improved at Pontefract on his next start, however, despite seemingly being unsuited by the drop in trip. He should be suited by the return to 6f here and should take plenty of beating.

14:40 - A tricky event with few reliable/appealing types. CAPTAIN DEVIOUS (7) is lightly raced for a five-year-old and produced his best effort in a first-time tongue strap last time at Bath (fourth of 11). That was just modest form, but the third and fifth have both run well since, and if building on that, Captain Devious could outrun his odds. ZEBELINI (4) is hard to win with, but went close at Catterick last time, and also makes some appeal for Placepot purposes.

15:10 - BELLEDESERT (5) bolted up at Bath two days ago, and if being able to replicate that sort of form at this different track (all three of her wins have come at that venue), she will take plenty of beating. The current outsider of the field AUGUSTA ADA (4) had excuses for her last two starts for Ollie Pears in 2015, and probably needed the run on her first start for Bryan Smart at Redcar last month. She is well handicapped on her 2014 form (won off a 5 lb higher mark) and should be suited by what is expected to be a well-run race.

15:45 - MUJAAMIL (4) was unable to justify favouritism when stepping up to 10f at Salisbury last time, but ran well enough in third to set the standard here. The drop back to a mile should suit - he is out of a miler and by Dansili - and is expected to be very hard to beat here.

16:20 - WHO DARES WINS (2) was progressive on the Flat for Richard Hannon last season, and won a Grade 2 over hurdles for Alan King over the winter after switching yards. He bolted up by five lengths on his first Flat start for King at Chester at the end of July, producing his best effort to date, and will be hard to beat here under a 6 lb penalty. Who Dares Wins has been effective when turned out quickly in the past, and the 12-day break should not be an issue for him. JACK BEAR (8) was beaten at Haydock last time by the well-handicapped Lexi's Boy but took another step forward nonetheless following his impressive win over this C&D in June. He could yet have more to offer and is worth including.

16:50 - This is a tricky event where all of the five runners can be given some sort of chance. Desert Way's Ascot maiden fifth is working out particularly well (the likes of Ajman Princess, Skiffle and Abingdon all ahead of her) and she won nicely at Salisbury last time. She remains open to improvement and is worth including. SINGYOURSONG (4) is officially 5 lb well in from the same mark as her second at Brighton last week (front pair 6 lengths clear) and should also run well.

17:20 - Course winner Qibtee, who is adaptable in regards to ground conditions, is respected, having run well last time out, however the well-handicapped MISTER MARCASITE is preferred each-way. He is yet to fire this season but he has winning form at the track and his stable is in good form. C&D winner Highlife Dancer is also well-treated and not one to take lightly.
