Timeform take you through the card at Newmarket on Friday.
13:20 - BLUE ON BLUE (2) made plenty of appeal on pedigree and shaped well when fourth on his racecourse debut at Chelmsford earlier this month. He offered plenty to work on when staying on in the closing stages that day and, although there are some interesting newcomers in opposition here, Blue On Blue is fancied to open his account at the second time of asking and rates by far the most solid proposition with the Placepot in mind.
13:50 - TOP MISSION (9) is related to a pair of two-year-old winners - including the smart Ode To Evening - and gets a speculative vote in this second leg of the Placepot, with recent Leicester-third Makkaar setting only a fair standard on form.
14:25 - CHARISMATIC MAN (12) shaped well when fourth on debut for the Ralph Beckett yard at Chelmsford last month and that form could hardly have worked out better, with the second and third both successful since. He doesn't look too harshly treated for his handicap debut and is worth a small bet at the current prices with the promise of more to come. He is joined by VAN HUYSEN (5), who was a comfortable winner of his most recent outing at Leicester and remains one to keep onside in his current mood.
15:00 - PERFECT ANGEL (7) showed improved form when second on her penultimate outing in the Mill Reef Stakes at Newbury and ran to a similar level when third in a listed race at York last time. That form leaves her rivals with 2 lb to find on ratings here and, although the unexposed Loving is an obvious danger, Perfect Angel is fancied to make the most of what looks a good opportunity and can gain valuable black type in this fourth leg of the Placepot.
15:35 - LAGENDA (3) has been a model of consistency this season and ran as well as ever when third on his return from 11 weeks off the track at York last time. He showed that this shorter trip holds no fears for him on that occasion and, although he remains without a victory since shedding his maiden tag at Wetherby last July, Lagenda continues to run well in defeat and is fancied to gain the victory his consistency deserves here.
16:10 - GRACELAND (1) ran as well as ever when second on her most recent outing at Goodwood, splitting a couple of unexposed three-year-olds and only losing out deep inside the final furlong. That form leaves her 3 lb clear of her nearest rival on Timeform ratings here and her reliable profile means she has to enter the calculations in this final leg of the Placepot, with the improving Dawn Horizons feared most of the remainder.
16:45 - ALFREDO (8) could hardly have been more impressive when scoring by 12 lengths at Wolverhampton two weeks ago and, although the return to turf is a slight concern, he is fancied to see off the attentions of Trevisani and can defy a 13 lb hike in the weights.
17:15 - PENDO (15) proved better than ever when successful on his most recent outing at Yarmouth and is taken to continue trainer John Best's fine form of late (three winners from last 10 runners) if reproducing that level of form here.
