Timeform take you through the card at Newcastle on Tuesday.
14:10 - An open race now that Tred Softly is a non-runner. Richard Fahey is in good form at present and LADY TURPIN (7) could be capable of running well on the back of a break. She was last seen on the turf at Leicester in the summer (left poorly placed in fourth) and is still relatively lightly raced, so could have more to offer. PADDY'S ROCK (6) doesn't appear to be much better than this sort of mark these days, but he did at least run well for third at Southwell last time, and could make the places again here.
14:40 - THELLO (9) is closely matched with Genres and Taopix on his last start (latter pair finished ahead of him and have both won since) but he would have benefited from a stronger gallop that day and, drawn near the likes of Hydrant today (one of the few front runners in the race), he could reverse that form.
15:10 - HOT BEAT (1) got off the mark in this country on his second start for David Simcock at Wolverhampton last time and was better than the bare result given that he overcame pace and positional bias (forced wide home turn). A 5 lb rise in the weights could underestimate him, and he is worth including over the strong-travelling favourite Natural Scenery and London Prize, who must recover from a fall at Musselburgh over hurdles just ten days ago.
15:40 - SPINWHEEL (7) has been quickly pitched into open handicap company after her win in a three-year-old race over C&D last time. She gets a handy weight allowance from all of her rivals as a result, and should be hard to peg back from the front.
16:10 - An interesting feature. HOLIDAY MAGIC (6) was thriving prior to his fourth here last time, but that came in a muddling affair, and he is worth another chance, especially given that he could be one of the only contenders to be ridden prominently (he was held up last time, but is usually up with the pace). A lack of pace won't suit a number here, including Russian Soul, who caught the eye last time on his first start for Jamie Osborne, but REALIZE (1) is usally ridden forward, and he is also worth including now back in a handicap after a couple of good efforts in minor events (won off 4 lb lower last winter).
16:40 - John Quinn is in excellent form at present and his consistent BLOOMIN LOVELY (5) could have been found a good oppertunity to give him another winner in a fairly weak maiden here. Bloomin Lovely has placed on her last two starts (both at this track) and looks a solid Placepot option.
17:10 - Indian Pursuit is hardly one for maximum faith (just one success to his name from plenty tries) but went close off this mark at Wolverhampton last week and may go one better for a yard - as previously mentioned - in good form at present.
