13:50 - DOMPERIGNON DU LYS (1) was disappointing when fourth of five on his most recent outing in a Grade 2 at Cheltenham, but appeared to have excuses on that occasion (likely to benefit from more emphasis on stamina) and is better-judged on the form of his earlier victory at Newcastle. That form leaves him 9 lb clear of his nearest rival on Timeform ratings and Domperignon du Lys is fancied to take advantage of what looks a good opportunity, with Irish raider I See You Well feared most of the remainder.

14:20 - LITTLE MISS POET (2) had some fairly useful form to her name in bumpers and shaped well when second on her hurdling debut at Fontwell last month. She is entitled to improve with that initial experience under her belt and certainly showed enough to suggest she is up to winning what doesn't look the strongest race of its kind here. Pampanini was second on her most recent outing in a bumper at Lingfield and can give the selection most to do in this second leg of the Placepot.

14:50 - ANY DRAMA (3) shaped with promise when fourth on his hurdling debut at Newbury in November and certainly looks the type to come on for the run. The progressive Bastien is an obvious danger seeking a hat-trick in this third leg of the Placepot, but Any Drama receives 10 lb from that rival and is expected to prove a different proposition this time round for a yard that could hardly be in better form at present (three winners from last 14 runners).

15:25 - MWALESHI (8) is in good heart at present and finished placed at this venue for the second start in succession three weeks ago. He may not be the force of old, but a much-reduced handicap mark reflects that and Mwaleshi should be involved if reproducing the form of his second here last time. He is joined in the Placepot by OZZY THOMAS (3), who also finished a good second on his most recent outing at Leicester and is now just 3 lb higher in the handicap than when winning at Towcester in March 2015.

16:00 - DOITFORTHEVILLAGE (1) produced a career-best to resume winning ways on his most recent outing at Lingfield, drawing clear from three-out and appearing to have more in hand than the official winning margin would suggest. He looks potentially very well-treated under a 7 lb penalty and, while the quick turnaround is an obvious concern, Doitforthevillage should prove extremely difficult to beat if arriving in the same form as last time and can follow up in this penultimate leg of the Placepot.

16:30 - STREAMS OF WHISKEY (5) has been off the track for nearly two years and clearly hasn't been the most straightforward to train. The obvious question mark is how much ability he retains after so long on the sidelines, but he had shown himself to be a useful performer over fences prior to his injury and this represents a significant drop in grade. Trainer Nicky Richards can ready one from a break and Streams of Whiskey is fancied to make a successful return with a defeat of Lord Ben.

Recommendation:

Win back DOITFORTHEVILLAGE in the 16:00 at Market Rasen

Placepot permutation:

13:50 - 1
14:20 - 2
14:50 - 3
15:25 - 3, 8
16:00 - 1
16:30 - 5
