Timeform take you through the card at Lingfield on Tuesday.
13:10 - APPY DAYS (6) was disappointing when down the field on her most recent outing at Galway in July, but appeared to do too much too soon on that occasion and is better-judged on the form of here racecourse debut at Roscommon. She showed a fair level of ability when second that day and - 3 lb clear of her nearest rival on Timeform ratings - Appy Days is expected to see off the attentions of Sabrage and can make a successful debut for the Ian Williams yard.
13:40 - POISONED BERRY (1) showed improved form to open her account over hurdles at the third time of asking at Exeter 20 days ago, jumping far more fluently than had previously been the case and quickly forging clear once asked for her effort from two-out. She has a 6 lb penalty for that victory to contend with here, but the form of that latest effort leaves her 10 lb clear of Westerbee on Timeform ratings and Poisoned Berry rates by far the most solid proposition in this second leg of the Placepot.
14:10 - JAUNTY INFLIGHT (4) shaped well when second on debut for the Dr Richard Newland yard at Exeter nine days ago, racing freely under an 8 lb claimer and paying the price for those early exertions when weakening late. The booking of Daryl Jacob looks a big positive and Jaunty Inflight can be the latest horse to show the benefits of a switch to this yard. He is joined in the Placepot by LEG LOCK LUKE (6), who represents the in-form yard of Colin Tizzard and is clearly thought capable of better than when pulled-up on his most recent outing at Plumpton.
14:40 - THIRD ACT (9) ran well when second on his return from nine months off the track at Chepstow earlier this month and confirmed the promise of that effort with a comfortable victory at Exeter last time. He was admittedly seen to maximum effect on that occasion (enjoyed the run of the race on the front end), but remains one to keep onside in his current mood and makes most appeal from the same mark in this fourth leg of the Placepot.
15:10 - CODY WYOMING (4) has failed to reproduce his very best form in his first two starts of the current campaign and was labouring from a long way out at Cheltenham last time. He showed plenty of the ability remains intact when plugging on past beaten rivals late, though, and will appreciate the return to a sharp left-handed over which he has excelled in the past, including when winning at Newton Abbot in April. He faces some similarly out of form rivals here, but WINGS OF SMOKE (2) ran better than for a while when second at Musselburgh last time and is also considered with the Placepot in mind.
15:40 - GREYED A (10) was gambled on ahead of his handicap debut at Sedgefield last week and improved a chunk on his form in maidens, losing out to another well treated sort by just a neck. That sort of performance would have seen him win many similar events and, with trainer Dr Richard Newland in such fine form at present (two winners and three placed from last eight runners), Greyed A should prove extremely difficult to beat from the same mark and can go one better than last time.
