17:50 - Naafer is difficult to oppose after a promising racecourse debut at Sandown recently and the winner boosted the form with a narrow victory in the Hilary Needler at Beverley on Saturday. Naafer is entitled to improve with that initial experience under her belt and - a half-sister to the high-class Ertijaal - she is expected to get off the mark in an interesting race to open the Placepot.
18:20 - Colourbearer posted the 10th victory of his career at Chelmsford in March and matched that form in defeat when second at Wolverhampton and Southwell on his last two starts. His jockey's claim allows him to race off a mark just 1 lb higher than when last successful here and, although he is yet to trouble the judge in five starts at this venue, Colourbearer looks to hold sound claims as he bids to continue his good run of form. He is joined in the Placepot by Triple Dream, who was a winner at Kempton last time and looks to follow up under a 3 lb penalty.
18:50 - Tenzing Norgay showed improved form to get off the mark with a dominant success here on Wednesday and - with a significant hike in the weights sure to be imminent - connections have understandably taken the decision to turn him out quickly under a penalty. He should prove too strong for these if reproducing the same level of form and, with 6 lb to spare over his rivals on Timeform ratings, Tenzing Norgay is an obvious selection in the third leg of the Placepot.
19:20 - Haddajah shaped with plenty of promise on her racecourse debut at Ascot earlier this month and should prove capable of better with that experience behind her. She made plenty of appeal on pedigree that day (dam finished second in the Irish 1000 Guineas) and, having showed signs of ability when running on into a never-nearer sixth, natural progression should see Haddajah open her account with a defeat of the similarly well-bred newcomer Elraazy here.
19:50 - Shackled N Drawn produced a career-best to score on just his second start for this yard at Nottingham last time, impressing with the manner of his success and value for more than the official winning margin. He has a 4 lb penalty to contend with in a better race here, but this strong-traveller should have the race run to suit with several potential pace-setters in opposition and Shackled N Drawn is expected to take the step up in class in his stride. Temple Road was second off a 2 lb higher mark here in February and is also considered with the Placepot in mind.
20:20 - Two In The Pink caught the eye when making late progress to finish fifth over an inadequate trip here last time and is now on the same mark as when successful at Salisbury 12 months ago. A winner over this C&D last January, she gave the impression she was beginning to come to the boil on that most recent outing and - with jockey Paddy Bradley good value for his 7 lb claim - Two In The Pink looks a fair price as she bids to register a second victory over this C&D in the final leg of the Placepot.
20:50 - Music Major fared better than the bare result at this venue last time, forced to wait for a run as the field entered the final two furlongs and never nearer than at the finish. He is weighted to reverse the placings with Packing here, though, and a better passage through the race can see Music Major record the second victory of his career in an interesting three-year-old handicap.
