Timeform take you through the card at Leicester on Monday.
13:40 - IMPERIAL CITY (1) is bred to be better than a mark of 65 and is also bred to be better at this trip (dam won over a mile and a quarter) so looks a good option with George Baker taking over in the saddle on her handicap debut. RAJ BALARAAJ (3) wasn't a cheap purchase and should also do better at some stage based on his pedigree.
14:10 - GAIA PRINCESS (1) needs to calm down if she is going to show her ability, but now has Ryan Moore on her back for the first time in her four-race career, which could easily spark some improvement as she steps up in trip (which should suit based on her pedigree). MOONSTONE ROCK (3) was not knocked about last time as she qualified for a mark and is open to improvement here on handicap debut.
14:40 - Tricky stuff as usual for a race of this grade. INFINITI (11) does have something to find with a few of these strictly from a ratings perspective, but she has a good record over this C&D, and has finished second on all three of her visits here, so rates a fairly solid Placepot option considering both Spirit of Zeb and Cockney Island - the principals on form - have to prove their stamina for this trip.
15:15 - Plenty to like about the sole three-year-old in the field EL VIP (9) who travelled well for a long way at Pontefract last time (third). That was just his second handicap start and third career start, and he remains open to further improvement. Given his strong-travelling style, he could be suited by the drop back in trip here.
15:45 - CONTENTMENT (11) sets the standard here on her debut fourth at Newbury in August, where she finished behind the likes of Promising, who was second in a Group 3 on her next start. She paid the price for attempting to go with the impressive Poet's Vanity last time at Salisbury, but that form looks good considering the winner won the Oh So Sharp Stakes at Newmarket on her next start. Contentment can get off the mark here.
16:20 - Old Newton Cup winner TAWDEEA (2) bounced back to form over C&D with a good third last time when suited by being held up in a strongly run race, and should get the same sort of scenario here with the likes of Dashing Star, Fattsota, and John Reel in the field. He looks a solid option for the places.
16:50 - Sitar didn't have much of a chance against the exciting Dreamfield on debut at Nottingham last time and should run well here along with Lava Light, who remains open to improvement after two promising starts at Kempton.
17:20 - Though he is now a short price, there is plenty to like about Rebel Lightning, who won a C&D seller with ease last time. Though he required a drop in grade to get back to winning ways, Rebel Lightning had been shaping well prior to that in handicaps, and the handicapper has taken a chance by leaving him on a mark of 70 here. The excellent Simon Walker should get him home in front.
