16:20 - FRIVOLOUS PRINCE (9) represents an in-form yard in that of David Evans here, and after a couple of good efforts at Wolverhampton (a win and a second) so far in 2017, he is expected to run well again here from 4 lb higher in the weights. MASTER OF HEAVEN (7) took advantage of a drop in to this grade for the first time when winning at Chelmsford in December and, just 2 lb higher now with the red-hot Adam Kirby taking over in the saddle, he could also run a big race here.

16:50 - ATHASSEL (6) is enjoying a good spell for his new trainer and after needing every yard of the extended seven-furlong trip when landing a double at Wolverhampton last time, he should go close to landing a three-timer over this extra trip today.

17:20 - Though SATIN RIBBON (12) is bred to want further than this in time she makes some appeal on debut in a fairly weak looking affair. DREAMING OF PARIS (5) sets the standard of the horses in the field with previous experience (posted thirds at Lingfield and this track in two starts to date) and is also worth including for the Placepot.

17:50 - OCEAN PROMISE (3) remains unexposed after just a one previous in handicaps (pulled hard over an extended nine furlongs last time) and should be suited by dropping in trip here (could also get an easy time of things on the front end). POBBLES (4) comes from a family which Roger Charlton knows well and should have more to offer at some point. The fact George Baker takes over in the saddle on her for the first time today could be significant.

18:20 - ABSOLUTE BLAST (1) has been the latest horse to be rejuvenated following a switch to Iain Jardine's yard, and after an impressive win at Wolverhampton last time, she should go well again kept to fillies' company here.

18:50 - A fair few in with shouts for win purposes including Thahab Ifraj and Paladin, but CAMAKASI (1) had a bit in hand when resuming winning ways here last week and should run well again despite carrying a 6 lb penalty for that last success.

Placepot permutation:

16:20 - 7, 9
16:50 - 6
17:20 - 5, 12
17:50 - 3, 4
18:20 - 1
18:50 - 1
