14:10 - DREAM RULER (3) seems a better horse on the all-weather and went close here over an extended mile and a half last time. He is up just 1 lb in the weights and should be able to at least run into a place again under George Baker. CAT ROYALE (8) has run poorly at Lingfield and Chelmsford on his last two starts but does have better form to his name at this track (including a maiden win) and could run into a place at a bigger price.

14:40 - Plenty to like about NORMAL EQUILIBRIUM (5) who has a good record when fresh (won at Epsom off the back of a break in the Spring) and has dropped to an attractive mark, now 10 lb below the one he defied at Chelmsford (again on the back of a break) in 2015. Robert Cowell has had a mixed season but seems to be ending the year with his string in fine form.

15:10 - Snow Squaw is the one to beat if able to reproduce her second at this track from August, but she was pretty disappointing the last time we saw her, and GALLIFREY (3) could be the solid option after she made a promising debut at Newcastle 22 days ago. The form of that race took a boost on Sunday when the fourth won at Lingfield, and Gallifrey is entitled to improve on her first effort here today.

15:40 - Hugo Palmer has shown he can ready a two-year-old first time of asking (a winner and a second from his last five two-year-old debutants) and his NURSE NIGHTINGALE (7) could be worth including here on her debut along with Charlie Appleby's NIGHT POETRY (6) in what looks a race that could be dominated by newcomers.

16:10 - AFRICAN BEAT (1) paid the price for pressing a strong pace last time on her handicap debut and shaped as though this sort of mark should not be beyond her when things pan out a little more suitably. EMENEM (5) did well to win over seven furlongs here last time given that he was off the bridle from some way out, and he should be well suited by the return to a mile today.

16:40 - DEBONAIRE DAVID (5) was perhaps unlucky to win over five furlongs at Wolverhampton last time given that he made his challenge from much further back than the winner. Based on the way he shaped there, the return to six furlongs should suit him plenty, and with the winner of that race Dazacam winning twice since, he looks a solid option here following a 3 lb rise in the weights.

17:10 - Sund City was no match for a much-improved winner here last time, but still ran her best race to date and makes some appeal for an in-form yard in a tricky low-grade contest.

17:40 - Believe It and Stormbound are now 7 lb better off with Baltic Prince on their run behind him here last time and that could prove key, though neither are the most reliable sorts.

Recommendations:

Win back NORMAL EQUILIBRIUM in the 14:40

Placepot permutation:

14:10 - 3, 8
14:40 - 5
15:10 - 3
15:40 - 6, 7
16:10 - 1, 5
16:40 - 5
