Timeform take you through the card at Kempton on Friday.
17:45 - Low-grade fare to kick off the card, but PLEADINGS (1) is bred to be a lot better than this level and it was very interesting to see him attract plenty of support before finishing third over six furlongs at Lingfield last time. The way he stayed on there suggests the return to this extra furlong will brought about further improvement, and he's worth backing, even from a tricky wide draw. It's probably risky to bank on a horse in a 0-50, but we'll need extra lines later, so we'll take the chance. Prince of Time and Altaira are next best.
18:15 - The money for Basheer looks very interesting as he could not have raced more inefficiently on his debut, blowing the start then tearing off through the field before fading in the home straight, but he's well bred and reportedly well regarded. That said, you application of a hood does sound a note of caution, and it may just pay to take the more experienced DARK DESTROYER (5) in the Placepot. Tricorn and Swilly Bay are a couple of expensively-bought newcomers representing successful yards.
18:45 - POPSILCA (3) has only gone up 2 lb for her recent Lingfield handicap debut success and, as the only winner in this field, has to be the percentage call. That said, Secret Icon does strike as a potential improver now handicapping and market support for Jamie Osborne's filly would put a slightly different slant on things. The booking of Kirby on Ben Haslam's Skellig Michael is intriguing, too.
19:15 - A tricky fourth leg, and almost certainly at least two selections needed. SEPTEMBER ISSUE (1) didn't have things go his way at Newcastle since his close second over C&D early last month and is well worth another chance from a good draw against the rail; he's still quite lightly raced, too. DARMA (5) has a good record fresh and is take as back up on her return for the Martyn Meade team, just ahead of Fairway To Heaven who bounced back to form when fourth at Wolverhampton last time.
19:45 - AMAZEMENT's (3) latest Newcastle run was too bad to be true and he's worth another chance as he'd looked progressive when quickening up smartly to win a 1m handicap there prior to that. He's also been gelded since last seen 44 days ago. This is another tricky handicap, though, and the money for HONIARA (4) is interesting as he made a solid return at Lingfield and promises to be well suited by the return to 1m. Lacan is now 7 lb below his last winning mark, while Franco's Secret was put up only 1 lb for his recent Lingfield win.
20:15 - With yesterday evening's Chelmsford winner Boychick not turning out again, this looks a good opportunity for BLACK HOLE SUN (9). She struck at the first time of asking for new handler Ian Williams at Wolverhampton last week and is effectively just 1 lb higher here. Goodby Inheritence and The Ginger Berry are respected under George Baker and Adam Kirby respectively, though the former is a longstanding maiden and the latter has not win since January 2014.
