Timeform take you through the card at Haydock on Friday.
"He looks thrown-in on that sort of form off 67 provided his new yard can get him back on track in a re-fitted tongue strap."
18:30 - Now that Ferdy and Lostock Hall have come out it is hard to see Masterpaver out of the places in the opener. Masterpaver ran respectably on debut for Richard Fahey when behind impressive winner Dannyday at Chelmsford last time, and from his lower turf mark looks set to go well.
19:00 - Mick Channon and Silvestre De Sousa are in fine form at present and Devilish Guest - the most expensive horse in the field - looks set to run well. Prince of Cool has attracted some strong support in the early market and is not easy to discount either.
19:30 - Double Up was a sprinter on the up last season and may have more to offer this year, but he seemingly needs a strong gallop to aim at to be seen to best effect, so is worth taking on here for Placepot purposes. Take Cover still takes some pegging back from the front-end even at the age of nine (ran well for fifth in the Palace House last time), and looks set to be seen to good effect in this smaller field with no obvious competition for the lead.
20:00 - Three key non-runners have opened this race up plenty and it Newera's chances of making the places have been boosted significantly as a result. Newera extended his good record at Chester at the May Festival there when winning a handicap from just 3 lb lower in the weights, and is easily forgiven his subsequent start considering he was turned out just one day after that. He is also three from four at this track in handicaps, and looks set to go close in the revised field.
20:30 - Superyacht displayed a likable attitude on his first three-year-old start for the in-form Michael Stoute when second over this C&D (third has won since), and with more progress to come he looks a solid enough option in our penultimate leg.
21:00 - Mujazif won off a BHA mark of 84 at his peak for Dandy Nichols, and looks thrown-in on that sort of form off 67 provided his new yard can get him back on track in a re-fitted tongue strap. Ruth Carr's runners are hitting form and if Almuhalab comes on for his reappearance at Beverley last time then he will also be in the mix off what is a tempting mark on the pick of his form.
