Timeform take you through the card at Exeter on Sunday.
13:50 - MR CLARKSON (3) produced a fairly useful level of form when winning a bumper at this venue and quickly made it two wins from two starts for this yard when following up on his hurdling debut here four weeks ago. He stayed on strongly to pull two and a quarter lengths clear in the closing stages that day and, while Fly Camp is an obvious danger here, Mr Clarkson is fancied to take the bigger step forward and makes most appeal with the Placepot in mind.
14:20 - FINIAN'S OSCAR (1) looked an exciting prospect when successful on his most recent outing in the Grade 1 Tolworth Hurdle at Sandown, travelling strongly into contention as the field entered the straight and quickly forging clear thereafter. He has all the makings of a high-class novice and can take this second leg of the Placepot en route to bigger targets at the Cheltenham Festival.
14:50 - EAMON AN CNOIC (14) showed improved from when successful at Haydock in December, seeing off the attentions of a consistent sort in the straight and doing so quite smoothly from what could be seen through the fog. That form is beginning to work out well (fourth and sixth have both won since) and Eamon An Cnoic can make the necessary improvement to defy a 7 lb hike in the weights here, with the thriving Ballymalin feared most of the remainder.
15:20 - PERFECT CANDIDATE (1) was outclassed when pulled-up on his most recent outing in the Cotswold Chase at Cheltenham, but is better-judged on the form of his earlier second at the same venue and he should be competitive if reproducing that level of form here. He is only 3 lb higher in the weights and, with trainer Fergal O'Brien in such fine form at present (six winners from his last 18 runners), Perfect Candidate looks sure to run well and is fancied to resume winning ways.
15:50 - ALARY (1) was disappointing when pulled-up on debut for this yard at Haydock three weeks ago, but that effort can be forgiven in the circumstances (scoped dirty afterwards) and he had previously shown himself to be a high-class performer for previous connections in France. He should prove extremely difficult to beat if bouncing back here and Alary is fancied to show why he is held in such high regard by trainer Colin Tizzard with a defeat of Tea For Two.
16:20 - CHARMIX (1) showed improved form to get off the mark in this sphere last month, keeping on well in the closing stages and always doing enough to hold the sustained challenge of the useful runner-up. He remains open to more improvement after just three starts over fences and shades the vote from the consistent Gala Ball, who should prove capable of better with Richard Johnson taking over in the saddle.
16:50 - QUICK GRABIM (2) shaped encouragingly when second on his Rules debut at Cork and confirmed the promise of that outing with a smooth success at Leopardstown last time. He looks the one to beat in the final race on this afternoon's card at Exeter.
