Timeform take you through the card at Epsom on Wednesday.
14:10 - LATHOM (2) failed to win in seven starts last season, but remains potentially very well-treated on his best form (won Super Sprint at Newbury as a two-year-old) and the booking of Ryan Moore suggests connections are expecting more from him this afternoon. He is joined in this opening leg of the Placepot by JUST THAT LORD (6), who shaped encouragingly when third on his seasonal reappearance at Kempton (beaten just a length and a quarter) and is entitled to strip fitter with that initial outing under his belt.
14:45 - CRACKSMAN (3) looked an exciting prospect when making a successful racecourse debut at Newmarket in October, produced to lead as the field entered the final furlong and always doing enough to hold off the chasing pack thereafter. That form gives him the edge over the battle-hardened Permian on Timeform ratings here and, with further progress likely to be forthcoming on just his second start, Cracksman is fancied to maintain his unbeaten record and can provide trainer John Gosden with a third consecutive victory in this race.
15:15 - GALAPIAT (1) proved better than ever when making a successful debut for the Mark Johnston yard at Leicester last time, travelling strongly in the leaders' slipstream throughout and quickly forging clear in the closing stages. The third gave that form a boost when winning at Newbury on Friday and, while an 11 lb hike in the weights makes life tougher here, Galapiat remains open to improvement after just five starts and is taken to follow up with a defeat of William Hunter in this third leg of the Placepot.
15:50 - INNOCENT TOUCH (5) shaped well when third on his return from seven months off the track at Pontefract last time and remains potentially very well-treated from a mark just 4 lb higher than when winning over this C&D last August. He can show the benefit of that latest outing with a big run here and is joined in the Placepot by SPEED COMPANY (3), who produced a career-best effort to resume winning ways on his most recent outing at Doncaster in October. He should have more to offer as a four-year-old and makes plenty of appeal under Ryan Moore.
16:25 - CARPE DIEM LADY (2) ran creditably when third on her most recent outing at Windsor in October and that form leaves her 8 lb clear of those with previous experience on Timeform ratings here. She could yet have more to offer on her first start for the Ralph Beckett yard and, while Leader's Legacy is an obvious danger if making the expected improvement from his debut sixth at Sandown, Carpe Diem Lady rates by far the most solid proposition with the Placepot in mind and is taken to gain the victory her consistency last year deserved.
17:00 - MASTEROFDISCOVERY (11) showed a fair level of form in five starts as a juvenile and proved better than ever when making a successful reappearance at Windsor two weeks ago. That form is expected to work out well and, while a 5 lb hike in the weights makes life far more difficult here, Masterofdiscovery remains open to more improvement after just six starts and is fancied to continue trainer Clive Cox's fine form of late (three winners from last nine runners) in this concluding leg of the Placepot.
