12:50 - ASUM (7) didn't look the finished article by any means when winning his on his second hurdles start last month at Taunton, and remains open to further improvement for his top trainer. He is worth including along with POLITICAL QUIZ (8) who represents the red-hot Tom Lacey yard and won't be handicapped out of things after a 6 lb rise for his win at Leicester last time.

13:25 - CONSTANTINE BAY (1)'s first win over hurdles - at Haydock in November - took a nice boost yesterday when the one he drew clear with, Brio Conti, bolted up at this track, and he gets the narrow vote for Placepot purposes with this step up in trip likely to bring about further improvement on just his third start under Rules. Nicky Henderson also has an outstanding 38% strike-rate with his runners at this track.

13:55 - Hard to know what to make of Romain de Senam, who carries a 5 lb penalty for his win at 20/1-on at Leicester four days ago (not likely to have been raised that much by the handicapper for winning such a poor race). Instead CYRIUS MORIVIERE (6) is worth chancing after freak circumstances stopped him running out an impressive winner of a novice contest here last time (saddle slipped after two out and jockey was unshipped).

14:30 - Hard to rule out any of these with any real conviction, but the race that A HARE BREATH (4) won at Bangor last time was a good one for the track, and he is worth including in receipt of weight from all of his rivals here. There could be more to come from CLOUDY DREAM (1), too, after he finished a good second to Buveur d'Air at Haydock last time.

15:05 - Annie Power bolted up in this race a few years ago and it should be a similar story for VROUM VROUM MAG (2) this time. She is well clear on ratings and was a Grade 1 winner when last seen at this trip (Punchestown Champion Hurdle last April).

15:40 - SOUTHFIELD ROYALE (5) has an absence to overcome but has some strong novice form from last season including a second in the Grade 1 Kauto Star at Kempton and a fourth in the National Hunt Chase at the Cheltenham Festival. This is his handicap debut over fences today, and he could have more to offer, being less exposed than many of these. ANOTHER HERO (12) looked on a competitive mark when finishing fourth in the fog at Ascot last time, and is also worth including (just five starts over fences so far).

16:15 - A tricky race for betting purposes but Midnight Charm looked the main threat to the winner for a long way last time at Hereford before fading back into fourth and should have more to come here for an in-form yard.

Recommendation:

Win back CYRIUS MORIVIERE in the 13:55

Placepot permutation:

12:50 - 7, 8
13:25 - 1
13:55 - 6
14:30 - 1, 4
15:05 - 2
15:40 - 5, 12
