Timeform take you through the card at Chepstow on Tuesday evening.
"That form still represents his best effort of the season so far, though, and he could yet return to the level he produced when scoring here last July..."
18:10 - Hedging made an encouraging start to his career when third at this venue recently, showing signs of inexperience through the first half of the contest and never nearer than at the finish. He is entitled to improve with that initial outing under his belt and - 3 lb clear of Bazwind on Timeform ratings - Hedging is a confident selection in this opening leg of the Placepot.
18:40 - Wahaab suffered trouble-in-running on his most recent outing at Brighton and a better passage through the race would likely have been enough to see him justify favouritism. Indeed, he appeared to lose more than the half-length he was beaten when knocked sideways with a furlong to run and ultimately did well to finish as close as he did. He has tumbled in the weights since joining the Richard Hughes yard and - able to race off the same mark as when second seven days ago - Wahaab is fancied to make amends with a defeat of the unexposed Don't Blame Me here.
19:10 - Cause and Effect is a worthy favourite on the form of his third at Kempton in October, but he was disappointing on his return from over seven months off the track at Salisbury and there might be a bit more value on offer among the newcomers. Spinners Ball represents the in-form yard of Sylvester Kirk (four winners from last 16 runners) and - a half-brother to a pair of useful performers - he could be the answer in what doesn't look the strongest race of its kind.
19:40 - Weather Front produced a career-best to get off the mark on his most recent outing at Redcar and deserves extra credit for coming from the rear in what was a steadily-run affair. The handicapper may have underestimated him with just a 6 lb rise in the weights and - 5 lb clear of the improving Feed The Goater on Timeform ratings - Weather Front is fancied to follow up in this fourth leg of the Placepot.
20:10 - Our Folly doesn't appear to hold too many secrets from the handicapper at present, but he wasn't beaten far in his first two starts of the current campaign and proved better than ever when third over obstacles at Uttoxeter last time. A winner here in June 2012, he can generally be relied upon to give his running - which is more than can be said for some of his rivals - and rates a solid selection in the Placepot. He is joined by Fitzwilly, who hasn't been disgraced in better races than this of late and will appreciate the ease underfoot.
20:40 - Ring Eye fared better than the bare result when second at Haydock earlier this month and a more conservative ride is likely to have seen him finish closer to the winner than he ultimately did. That form still represents his best effort of the season so far, though, and he could yet return to the level he produced when scoring here last July. He should prove extremely difficult to beat if doing so (comes into this race on a 5 lb under mark) and - reunited with pilot that day Edward Greatrex - Ring Eye looks worth a small bet in this final leg of the Placepot.
21:10 - Dovil's Duel regained the winning thread with a comfortable success on his most recent outing at Bath, relishing the return to this longer trip and appearing to win with something to spare. The handicapper may have underestimated him with just a 7 lb rise in the weights and, although he isn't guaranteed to back that effort up, Dovil's Duel makes more appeal than the frustrating Flutterbee.
