17:50 - MAGIC CITY (7) didn't seem to see out an extended mile at Wolverhampton last time and should appreciate the drop back to a bare mile here. He is undoubtedly handicapped to strike - plenty of in-the-frame efforts from this sort of mark recently - and should go close again. STARBOARD (2) met trouble when in the process of running well here on his penultimate start and also gives the impression he is on a fair mark (drops in grade here).

18:25 - Some five last-time-out winners clash here, and this should be a competitive affair. Bottom-weight BOYCHICK (13) won an apprentice race at Wolverhampton last week and, able to race off the same mark here, he holds an obvious chance for an in-form yard. He is worth including along with MAVERIK (11), who won on debut for Neil Mulholland last time and shouldn't be far away from just 2 lb higher in the weights (still well treated on the pick of his old form).

19:00 - DREAM FARR (3) was arguably unlucky not to win over this trip at Lingfield on his penultimate start (left with plenty to do) before he finally put everything together over six furlongs at Wolverhampton last time. With the drop back in trip no issue, he shouldn't be far away from just 4 lb higher in the weights (the fourth and fifth have won since).

19:30 - PARIS MAGIC (7) looked worth a try at this sort of trip when winning a maiden over a mile and a half at Newcastle in December and, with just a couple of starts in handicaps to date, could be capable of better yet (not ideally placed last time). EL CAMPEON (4) has been progressing steadily on the all-weather this season and perhaps made his move a tad too early when narrowly beaten at Kempton last time. The drop back in trip here will not be an issue and he is also worth including for the Placepot.

20:00 - Now that Angel of Darkness has come out this looks fairly open, and it could be worth chancing BASTIA (3), who is related to a couple of first-time-out winners and comes from a yard who can ready one. The standard (set by Zilza) isn't high, and Bastia can make a winning start.

20:30 - Whaleweigh Station clearly arrives here in good heart after landing a double at Kempton last week, but he is now up in grade under a 6 lb penalty. CAMDORA (2) on the other hand is down in grade following a good third here last month. He boasts a strong record at the track (has hit the frame on all seven of his visits here) and looks a solid option to get into the places.

21:00 - This looks a good bit of placement by Henry Spiller and In The Spotlight should be capable of following up from her easy win at Kempton over six furlongs last week.

Recommendation:

Win back BASTIA in the 20:00

Placepot permutation:

17:50 - 2, 7
18:25 - 11, 13
19:00 - 3
19:30 - 4, 7
20:00 - 3
20:30 - 2
