13:50 - CHARLIE CHAPLIN (1) takes a big drop in grade here after a fair eighth at Nottingham in a much better race than this, and with his yard in good form, he is well worth another chance to build on his encouraging Leicester run prior to that.

14:25 - ACERTWO (2) responded well to an aggressive ride last time and he is expected to run well in search of the hat-trick. MILLIE'S KISS (1) improved on the back of a break here last time and did well to make up so much ground within the penultimate furlong, so is also respected now returning to seven furlongs.

15:00 - POLYMNIA (6) has had plenty of goes and may still be vulnerable for win purposes, but is at least consistent (in the frame all six starts in 2016) and should be a banker for the Placepot. Hairdryer may have more to offer at some point and market support for him looks encouraging.

15:30 - A competitive race. MY TARGET (10) added to his good all-weather record at Lingfield last time and, with that form working out well (second has won since) he should go well. THIRD TIME LUCKY (2) has a bad draw to contend with but has had a light season in 2016 so far and is used to contesting much more competitive turf handicaps than this.

16:00 - ALEEF (9) was an impressive winner at Lingfield on his only all-weather start to date and after a good win at Newmarket in a minor event last time, he looks worth including now back in a handicap. QUATRIEME AMI (8) was impressive on the all-weather at the back end of 2015 as a two-year-old, and could be on a workable mark, having been forced to race wide over six furlongs here last time.

16:30 - STAMFORD RAFFLES (9) won with something in hand at Newcastle last time and though he now has to face a swing in the weights with Aldreth, he could have more to offer yet and is expected to win again.

17:00 - There could definitely be more to come from ROCK WARBLER (16), who won readily at Newcastle last time and is going through a really good spell at present. He should have a fierce pace to aim at here and if getting a good break may be hard to beat.

Recommendation:

Win back ROCK WARBLER in the 17:00

Placepot permutation:

13:50 - 1
14:25 - 1, 2
15:00 - 6
15:30 - 2, 10
16:00 - 8, 9
16:30 - 9
