14:10 - SAME CIRCUS (1) is consistent and produced his best effort over hurdles to date when second on his most recent outing over this C&D. The winner boosted the form when following up in a competitive handicap at Exeter on Sunday and, with the possibility of more to come over this trip, Same Circus is fancied to see off the attentions of Big Benny and makes most appeal in this opening leg of the Placpot.

14:40 - KAUTO RIKO (9) showed improved form to get off the mark at Market Rasen last time, travelling strongly into contention approaching two-out and quickly forging clear thereafter. That form gives him the edge over Fit The Brief on Timeform ratings and - likely to improve with that first outing for eight months under his belt - Kauto Riko would appear to hold sound claims from just 7 lb higher in the weights and can follow up with a defeat of Tomkevi.

15:10 - MILLY BALOO (5) fared better than the bare result when fourth on her most recent outing at Kelso four weeks ago, still travelling well when making a bad mistake four-out and unable to recover thereafter. She had shown herself to be a fair performer when placed in two earlier starts over fences and should be thereabouts if bouncing back in this third leg of the Placepot, with Rolling Thunder feared most of the remainder.

15:40 - BEENO (4) produced the best effort of his short career to date when second at Newcastle three weeks ago and was simply unlucky to bump into an improving sort on the day. He certainly showed enough to suggest he is up to winning a race from this mark and, with the possibility of more to come after just five starts over hurdles, Beeno shades the vote from Snowed In and can open his account in this sphere at the sixth time of asking for Kenneth Slack.

16:10 - I JUST KNOW (3) regained the winning thread with an easy success at Doncaster five weeks ago, drawing clear on the approach to the last and appearing to have far more in hand than the official winning margin would suggest (eased near the finish). He is yet to finish out of the first two in four starts over fences and should prove extremely to beat once again for a trainer with a terrific record in this race (two winners from the last three renewals).

16:40 - M SEVEN SEVEN GUS (5) shaped well when fourth on his Rules debut at Thurles and should improve with that initial outing under his belt. That form gives him the edge over those with previous experience on Timeform ratings and, while there are some interesting newcomers in opposition, M Seven Seven Gus is taken to confirm the promise of first time and can shed his maiden tag in this final leg of the Placepot.

Recommendation:

Win back I JUST KNOW in the 16:10 at Catterick

Placepot permutation:

14:10 - 1
14:40 - 9
15:10 - 5
15:40 - 4
16:10 - 3
16:40 - 5
