Timeform take you through the card at Carlisle on Monday.
14:00 - CATAMARAN DU SEUIL (1) was disappointing when only sixth on his most recent outing at Wetherby, but that effort is best forgotten in the circumstances (found to have an abnormally high heart rate post-race) and he is better-judged on the form of his earlier victory at Wincanton. That form leaves him 9 lb clear of his nearest rival on Timeform ratings and Catamaran du Seuil is fancied to bounce back with victory in this opening leg of the Placepot.
14:30 - STRAIT OF MAGELLAN (3) may have needed the run when only fourth after nine weeks off the track at Market Rasen last time and looks the type to do even better now sent handicapping. The form of his earlier second at Ayr has worked out well and, with Ryan Day taking a useful 5 lb off his back here, Strait of Magellan looks sure to be thereabouts from an opening mark of 111 and can continue trainer Nicky Richards' fine form of late (six winners from last 19 runners).
15:00 - KAP JAZZ (6) was running respectably when falling three-out on his most recent outing at Lingfield and the form of that race could hardly have worked out better, with the winner since following up in a Grade 1 at Kempton and a competitive handicap at Cheltenham. Kap Jazz remains open to more improvement after just two starts over fences and should prove extremely difficult to beat if none the worse for his tumble last time, with Take The Cash feared most of the remainder.
15:35 - LITTLE BRUCE (3) took a while to get going when successful on his most recent outing at Wetherby, but he impressed with how quickly he motored through from three-out and essentially had far more in hand than the official winning margin would suggest. He has a further 11 lb hike in the weights to contend with here, but remains one to keep onside in his current mood and Little Bruce is expected to complete the hat-trick for Philip Kirby.
16:10 - BEG TO DIFFER (2) is likely to have finished third but for unseating his rider two-out at Sandown 16 days ago and this represents a far weaker race than he has been contesting of late. Indeed, that form leaves him 4 lb clear of his nearest rival on Timeform ratings here and Beg To Differ would appear to hold obvious claims with Aidan Coleman taking over in the saddle. Blakemount was a comfortable winner here last time and can give the selection most to do.
16:45 - ONWITHTHEPARTY (9) remains without a victory since landing a Sligo bumper in October 2013, but his consistency is difficult to fault and he ran his usual sound race when fourth at Sedgefield two weeks ago. That form gives him 2 lb to find with Unex Canaletto on Timeform ratings, but that rival has something to prove after more than two years off the track and Onwiththeparty rates by far the most solid proposition in this final leg of the Placepot.
17:15 - FIN AND GAME (3) shaped encouragingly when second on his Rules debut at Bangor seven weeks ago, losing his place when hampered on the turn for home and keeping on well in the circumstances to be beaten less than three lengths. That effort sets the standard on form and Fin And Game can open his account if making the expected progress here.
