Timeform take you through the card at Bath on Tuesday.
"Life Less Ordinary is fancied to go one better at a track where he has already proven himself to be effective..."
13:40 - Espoir matched her career-best in blinkers for the first time when second at Wolverhampton earlier this month and that looks good form in the context of this race, with the winner having since won again at Brighton. Espoir was quite comfortably beaten by that rival last time, but there was still plenty of promise to be taken from her first run for the David Evans yard and she looks to hold sound place claims again here. She is joined in the Placepot by Patanjali, who fared okay on her handicap debut and looks sure to be suited by this longer trip.
14:10 - Knight of the Air was a winner over this C&D in September and bettered that effort on Timeform ratings when second at Brighton on his final start of 2015. He returned from over six months off the track with a solid effort at that venue a week ago and, not knocked about once his chance had gone, he is entitled to come on for the outing. An improved effort should be good enough to see him make the frame here and he looks a safe bet for Placepot purposes, with Mcdelta also considered on the form of his second at Kempton in February.
14:45 - Kreb's Cycle sets a fair standard after his pleasing debut over the C&D recently and natural progression should make him extremely tough to beat here. He seemed to know his job well enough on that recent outing and, having battled well to see off the challenge of the third with a furlong to run, he appeared unlucky to be mugged by the outpaced winner in the shadows of the post. Kreb's Cycle will have learnt plenty from that initial experience and, although there are a few interesting newcomers in opposition, the benefit of a previous run is likely to prove crucial here.
15:20 - Life Less Ordinary made light of his long absence from the track when producing a career-best to take second at Chelmsford last time and, given time to grow into his frame after a disappointing end to his three-year-old campaign, there is every chance this unexposed type can find further improvement with that recent outing under his belt. He was only narrowly denied on his first run for nearly eight months that day and Life Less Ordinary is fancied to go one better at a track where he has already proven himself to be effective (second over the C&D in July).
15:55 - City of Ideas is bred to be smart and, although unlikely to scale the same heights as his talented parents (by Dansili, out of a Lancashire Oaks winner), he gave the impression he was capable of winning more races when getting off the mark at Wolverhampton last time. He appeared to relish the step up in trip that day and, not beaten far when seventh behind the smart Midterm on his penultimate start at Newbury, the handicapper might have underestimated him with an opening mark of 75. City of Ideas can confirm that impression with a win over the equally promising Disobedience here.
16:30 - Red Cardinal was turned over at short odds on his most recent start at Wolverhampton in October, but he was only beaten half a length by the winner and the pair pulled a fair way clear of the remainder in the closing stages. He has already shown form good enough to win most races of this nature and, with 4 lb in hand over his rivals on Timeform ratings here, Red Cardinal is fancied to convert that promise into a first victory. There are several promising three-year-olds in opposition and, receiving 19 lb from Red Cardinal, Mawaany also looks worth a chance with the Placepot in mind.
17:05 - Wharane was fifth in a better race than this at Windsor earlier in the month and, although that effort was below the form he had shown when filling the same position on his two previous starts, he is entitled to improve with that first outing of the season under his belt. He also looked ill at ease on the soft ground that day and Wharane is expected to prove more competitive in favourable conditions here.
