"Her yard has a very good record in bumpers here and she can feature now markedly dropped in class."

14.20 - A fiendish conditional handicap kicks off what looks a particularly tricky day at Ayr. Many of the runners have at least a mildly credible chance, including current favourite Molly Milan. Jim Goldie's mare is by no means a positive choice, however, having ran in snatches last time out, and she is no certainty to repeat that effort today. She stuck to her task well that day though, and could be suited by this step up in trip, so is worth including all things considered. De Beekeeper is an interesting alternative to the favourite, having recorded three wins from three point starts since switching yards. Those spins will have given him confidence, and he could well figure now back under rules on a workable mark. Smugglers Stash is also interesting at a bigger price on handicap debut, and can get competitive now upped in trip, which should suit. Naburn is another player, having produced his best effort to finish second last time, and he warrants plenty of respect from only 2 lbs higher in the weights.

14.55 - Stuart Crawford sends two runners over from Ireland, and the fact that Andrew Lynch has opted to ride Danielle's Journey suggests that she is the one to side with. The mare was disappointing last time, but is the form pick here and sets a clear standard. Rivabodiva was a disappointing favourite at Kelso last time but remains one to consider, whilst My Little Cracker can also figure, though she ran no sort of race on hurdling debut.

15.30 - Lochnell is not a mare to rely on, and returned to form somewhat out of the blue over C&D last time. However, there was no fluke about that success, and Ian Duncan's mare could still be fairly treated off 5 lbs higher today and is the tentative Placepot selection. Trucking Along has scored here three times in the past and is one to consider, while Bertalus has shown promise so far and is expected to do better now handicapping over a longer trip.

16.05 - Another tricky handicap, where not many appeal as live contenders. Willie Hall looked rejuvenated when scoring twice over C&D in January, but was well below form following a 7 lb rise in the weights last time at Newcastle. He returns to the scene of those two wins, and he may well hit the frame here under a claimer he has a good relationship with. Young Palm is also considered, after hitting the frame on his last three handicap starts. His yard have a good record here, and he can go close with cheekpieces re-fitted.

16:40 - All five have claims in a tight affair, but the vote goes to Yes Tom, who proved he's in good heart when making a winning return over hurdles last month. The Irish raider has a 2 lb higher mark to contend with, but has a good record at this track, winning this race last year, and is fancied to follow up today. Bernadelli's jumping let him down when upped in class at Ascot last time, but headgear is tried and he has every chance of returning to form, whilst Ubaltique seemed to benefit from a first-time tongue tie when winning last time and can also figure.

17.10 - Undisputed hinted at ability when ninth in a listed mares race on debut at Navan in November. Her yard has a very good record in bumpers here and she can feature now markedly dropped in class. The fact that she heads the market this morning is encouraging, and she rates as a confident choice to open her account today. Al Reesha has also been found a weaker contest having shown signs of greenness on her first two outings and can give the selection the most to think about for her top yard.
