Timeform take you through the interesting card at Ascot on Friday.

13:00 - An interesting contest with plenty of good staying pedigrees on offer. RIDGEWAY FLYER (7) won his second start in bumpers in the spring and is certainly bred to take to jumping, so is worth including, along with Irish maiden point winner REALITY BITES (6) for Alan King.

13:35 - Brother Tedd sets the standard on his debut second at Newton Abbot, but did go backwards from that last time, and it is no surprise to see both DIFFERENT GRAVY (2) and HELL'S KITCHEN (3) ahead of him in the betting. The former was fancied to land a Grade 1 last season after destroying a field at this track in a handicap, and though he came up short at Aintree, he remains a cracking chasing prospect and should win this. Hell's Kitchen is also a chasing type and though his form falls some way short of Differrent Gravy's over hurdles, he is also worth including now quickly switched to fences.

14:10 - THOMAS CAMPBELL's (2) Cheltenham form may well have taken another boost (stablemate Khezerabad runs in the first at Haydock) by the time this race comes around, but regardless of that, he looks sure to progress from his debut and should be capable of making his mark at a higher level. He can give Nicky Henderson a third win in the race since 2011.

14:45 - The Clock Leary is well handicapped and won on his return last season, but it is concerning that he ended his campaign with a series of weak finishes and below par efforts, and he is worth taking on here for Placepot purposes with that in mind, for all that his issues could have been sorted over the summer. PRESENT MAN (3) is unexposed and was well fancied for the Badger Ales Trophy earlier this month before unseating at the second, and could make ammends here for the in-form Paul Nicholls yard. GO CONQUER (4) remains open to improvement after a much-improved chasing win last time and is also worth including against the favourite in an open race.

15:20 - BLAMEITALONMYROOTS (12) remains lightly raced and probably found the grueling conditions over a marathon trip at Plumpton too much last time, for all that she shapes as though she should be effective at trips of beyond three miles. She is worth another chance from what looks a fair mark. ALTERNATIF (5) is well handicapped and could be capable of placing from this sort of mark for David Pipe.

15:55 - Brelan d'As became the latest French recruit to improve for the switch to Paul Nicholls when winning convincingly at Wincanton yesterday, and CYRNAME (4) - also from Patrice Quinton's yard - looks a good option here. Cyrname won a juvenile hurdle at Pau by nine lengths on his final French start, and looks another exciting prospect for the champion trainer.
