Timeform take you through the card at Taunton on Tuesday...
"Based on the pick of his form, an opening mark of 127 could well underestimate him..."
14:10 - It's hard to get away from the claims of EPIRIT DE SOMZA (13) who won a juvenile hurdle by five lengths at Huntingdon last month and comes out well on these terms. He gets a handy weight-for-age allowance now running in a novice and, given the overall impression he made last time, he should prove hard to beat. The Russian Doyen found the Tolworth too tough a test last time and is feared most back down in grade, and he has been well supported in the market this morning.
14:40 - OSCAR ROSE (7) is yet to win over hurdles, but she has shown enough to suggest she is up to winning races in this sphere. She caught the eye in a handicap at Doncaster last time, making good headway but unable to quicken with the leaders, shaping as though she'll be suited by further than two and a half miles. Back in a novice now, she is expected to open her account.
15:10 - HEY BILL (2) progressed as expected from his chasing debut when winning at Ludlow last month, coping well with the drop back to two and a half miles under a positive ride. He jumped better than the rest that day, something which will stand him in good stead, and the return to three miles is another positive. Hey Bill is 7 lb higher in the weights now, but likely has more to offer, and is worth sticking with here.
15:45 - A good-quality handicap which can go the way of handicap debutant BLACK MISCHIEF (6). He won a maiden at Warwick back in May and has arguably failed to stay the two and a half mile trip the last three starts. Based on the pick of his form, an opening mark of 127 could well underestimate him, and he is expected to go close return to two miles.
16:15 - Plenty of these have something to prove, so it may pay to stick with the in-form BAJARDO (7), who won a handicap at Fakenham in December and again ran creditably at Fontwell when last seen. He should still be up to making an impact from this mark and rates one of the more solid options in this line-up.
16:50 - BISOUBISOU (8) has gone the right way since switched to handicaps and fitted with cheekpieces, and a 4 lb rise for Fakenham may not prevent her going in again. Odello could build on her Hereford handicap debut second and rates an obvious threat, while Staunton didn't get close to justifying favouritism on her chase debut/return for new yard but may fare better back over timber.
