12:15 - KINGS INN (1) showed promise when runner-up on his sole Flat start in Ireland and is expected to make a winning start over hurdles in this opening leg of the Placepot having joined Paul Nicholls. Marettimo achieved no more than modest form when hitting the frame on a couple of occasions in the autumn and it could be that the main threat comes from fellow hurdling newcomers Vaziani and Sin Sin.
12:50 - DON'T ASK (1) lowered the colours of a well-regarded rival on hurdles debut at the beginning of this month and, with progress on the cards, is capable of defying a penalty. Dan McGrue undoubtedly has more ability than he has shown so far and this trip is probably as far as he wants for now, with River Bray perhaps the pick of the remainder.
13:25 - SILENT STEPS (1) improved on her hurdles form and shaped well when runner-up on her chasing debut over C&D 16 days ago, filling that position for the fourth start in succession. There doesn't appear to be anything wrong with her attitude, having gone down fighting on each of her last two starts, but the application of cheekpieces should do away with any doubts in that respect, and Paul Nicholls' front-running mare is fancied to see off all comers and open her account in this discipline at the second attempt.
14:00 - MOABIT (1) presumably failed to take to fibresand when well held at Southwell last week, but he had been in good form on the turf prior to that and looks on a winnable mark back hurdling for the first time since summer 2016. Attest has performed with credit in slightly stronger races than this on his last two starts and may provide the main threat ahead of the selection's stablemate Challico.
14:35 - BURRENBRIDGE HOTEL (2) ran his best race to date and probably would have won more convincingly had he not made a late blunder at Hereford last time. He remains relative lightly raced and makes most appeal for Placepot purposes here, with the prospect of more to come after just two starts over fences. Yourholidayisover ran what has become a typical race when second at Fakenham latest but should be involved, while Gores Island has been given every chance by the assessor if bouncing back.
15:15 - SUNSHADE (5) quickened clear in the manner of a very useful filly at Market Rasen last time and can take the step up in class in her stride and stretch her unbeaten record to four in this concluding leg of the Placepot. Maria's Benefit has been most progressive and can follow the selection home ahead of recent Wincanton scorer If You Say Run.
15:45 - DR DUNRAVEN (10) could have a big part to play in the finale, assuming he is fully tuned-up after a seven-month break. Indeed, he posted his best effort yet when runner-up on debut for this yard at Uttoxeter last time and may well go one better here with the step back up in trip expected to suit.
