San Rumoldo should make his presence felt in this novices' hurdle.

This gelding was a little disappointing when finishing down the field in a bumper at Ascot earlier this month. He had a chance two furlongs from home, but weakened quickly and finished well beaten. He is best judged on his debut victory in a bumper at Southwell last season when beating Hurricane Harvey in good style. I think he has a lot more to offer, and should go close on hurdles debut. At present he is trading at 4.3100/30 on the exchange.

Dogon is the current favourite at 3.7511/4 on the exchange. He ran no race at all when finishing a distant third to The Wolf at Fakenham, and is much better than the form suggests. He has something to prove now and looks short enough.

Batchelor Boy should go close in this novice stakes.

This colt caught the eye when finishing fifth to Knight Shield in a Windsor maiden in the summer. He kept on well in the closing stages, and finished the race with good energy. The money came for him and was sent off favourite. Although he has been off the course for a while, I am not unduly concerned. The stable is going well at the moment, and I am expecting a much improved effort. At present he is trading at 5.85/1 on the exchange.

Moosmee is the main danger. He pulled very hard when finishing fourth to Waddat at Wolverhampton earlier this month. He is best judged on his defeat of Asmund at Nottingham on his previous start. The penalty for that victory could prove problematic, and looks a little short at 3.8514/5 on the exchange.
