There is classic trial action at Leopardstown this afternoon and Tony Keenan has found four bets on the card...

"Radiantly had good juvenile form last season, notably when a running on fourth to Coolmore and Anamba, and perhaps most interesting of all she was supplemented in the Irish 1,000 Guineas last month whereas her stablemate Dolce Strega was not."

1.5 Points Back Radiantly @ 4.67/2 or bigger in the Leopardstown 15:00

This afternoon's meeting at Leopardstown had the potential to be a big 'going' card with plenty of rain forecast between declaration time and the start of racing. However, and not for the first time, Leopardstown missed the bulk of the rain and ground remains largely as it was on Friday morning; with such a micro-climate, it's amazing the area isn't a more popular tourist destination!

Leopardstown 15:00 - Radiantly can reverse course form with Now Or Never

Calling this race a 1,000 Guineas Trial is generous in the extreme, the event unlikely to have any bearing on the Curragh classic, but that doesn't mean it isn't a good race for a bet and Radiantly stands out at the prices. She was behind the favourite Now Or Never last month but there are reasons she can reverse the form; the ground is more in her favour now and she was left too far back last in a race that developed from the front.

Radiantly had good juvenile form last season, notably when a running on fourth to Coolmore and Anamba, and perhaps most interesting of all she was supplemented in the Irish 1,000 Guineas last month whereas her stablemate Dolce Strega was not. That one landed a Group 3 last Monday and if Radiantly is better, something the Guineas entry implies, she can take this.

Leopardstown 3:35 - Take Idaho to confirm Ballysax promise

It is a surprise to see Ryan Moore ride Shogun in the Derrinstown and was he on Idaho that one would be much shorter than his current 3.185/40. I'm going to trust the impression Idaho left in the Ballysax, typically the key trial for this, as Shogun has been a disappointing sort and his Craven form looks ordinary.

Idaho went like the best horse in the Ballysax, making a big move wide before the straight before being collared by a race-fit rival close home. He'll come on for the run, the drier ground will suit and while Tirmizi has lots of upside it will be disappointing if he can't made fitness count.

Leopardstown 16:10 - Granny May the upside horse in an exposed field

While this is a fiendishly competitive handicap, the first reserve Granny May makes some appeal as she can now take her chance with Great Wide Open declared a non-runner. Most of these are exposed but she is the exception and while her maiden form is weak, she stepped up markedly on it at Gowran on seasonal debut.

Held up in midfield, she was one of very few horses to get into the race from behind and she should improve for both the experience and the run.

Leopardstown 17:10 - Lyons colt should be on your Radar

Cole Porter looks a default favourite, Ballydoyle-trained and with a string of placed efforts to his name, but he is slow and hasn't looked the most willing either. Sea Of Mystery has its limitations too and while the Weld newcomer Mounira has attracted support, Radar O'Reilly looks the bet at the prices.

He seemed unfancied at Gowran last month but shaped really well in splitting the well-regarded Ezanak and the race-fit Sean O'Casey. If anything like other runners from his yard, he should come on plenty for the run and with the step up in trip likely to suit, he will be hard to keep out of the frame.
