Nick Shiambouros made some each-way money when his best bet Praeceps finished third. He returns today to try his luck at Fontwell...
"The extra yardage should suit him down to the ground, and is attractively priced at 6.611/2 on the exchange"
Flos to get it done
14:50 Fontwell - Vision Des Flos
Vision Des Flos should make his presence felt in this interesting Grade 2 event.
This consistent performer has run well without winning this term, but has cracked heads with the likes of Buveur d'Air on a couple of occasions. Last time out at Wincanton he finished a closing third to Grand Saucy in the Kingwell Hurdle. The extra yardage should suit him down to the ground, and is attractively priced at 6.611/2.
If The Cap Fits is another that will benefit from the longer trip. He finished an excellent third to Verdana Blue at Kempton on Boxing Day, and is the current favourite at 2.982/1 on the exchange. He commands respect, but is priced accordingly.
Zafar to score
15:25 Fontwell - Zafar
Zafar looks like the horse to beat in this novices' hurdle.
This four-year-old colt put in a much improved effort when finishing second to Belargus in a Juvenile hurdle at Ascot last month. He was headed on the run to the final flight, but kept on willingly and chased the winner all the way to the line. Improvement is expected, and is reasonable at 2.8615/8.
Tarada looks like the main danger. He put in some good work when finishing second to Dashel Drasher at Chepstow last month. He is heading in the right direction, but may need a little further in time. At present he is trading at 3.45.
