Nick Shiambouros was on the mark yesterday when his best bet The Tin Man won and he returns with two selections from York...

"I think he is open to significant improvement and is reasonably priced at [7.6] on the exchange"

Simcock colt to deliver

15:25 York - Woven

Woven should make his presence felt in this novice stakes.

This colt created a favourable impression on debut when finishing fourth to Louis Treize at Newcastle in July. He missed the break, but kept on really well inside the final furlong and finished the race with good energy. I think he is open to significant improvement and is reasonably priced at [7.6] on the exchange. In addition the David Simcock stable is ticking along nicely which is an added bonus.

Ventura Ocean heads the market at [3.35] on the exchange. He was outclassed behind Phoenix Of Spain in a Group 3 over this course last month but should find this company more to his liking. He has to give weight to his opponents which could prove problematic.

Little to run big

16:30 York - Little Legs

Little Legs sets the standard in this interesting race.

This filly finished an excellent fourth to Well Done Fox in a Listed race over this course last month. She was collared inside the final furlong, but kept on well and was not beaten all that far. This was her best effort to date, and will appreciate the return to novice stakes company. She is the clear form choice and is fairly priced at [3.55] on the exchange.

Fastman merits consideration. He was an easy winner on debut at Thirsk, but has been off the course for a while. His bare form is not good enough, but has every right to move forward. At present he is trading at [6.2] on the exchange.
