Timeform pick out their three best bets from Ayr on Sunday...
"...this race represents a huge drop in class for him, and he has every chance of going close"
Timeform on Lexington Place
Corton Lad is yet to really get going this year, but his last couple of efforts have been slightly more encouraging, showing an ability to get to the front in his races, and he's capable of striking from this mark if everything clicks (won this race in 2015). Testa Rossa and Rock N Rolla also lurk on dangerous marks and have to be feared.
Alabanza only found a well-treated rival too strong when second at Hamilton on Tuesday, and he looks to have been found an excellent opportunity to go one better off the same mark now upped in trip. Rosemay is yet to fire this season, though is becoming well treated so shouldn't be ignored. Ravenhoe is likely to remain competitive at this level.
Whilst Lexington Place hasn't really been shaping as if his turn is near of late, this race represents a huge drop in class for him, and he has every chance of going close, with the same amateur booked as on his last run. Perfect Words has a recent C&D success on his CV so he is feared, along with the slightly frustrating Groundworker.
