Timeform pick out their three best bets from Tipperary on Sunday...
"...he looks worthy of another chance to get back on track for the in-form Aidan O'Brien team..."
Timeform on South Pacific
Whilst South Pacific wasn't able to justify odds-on favouritism at Gowran Park last time, it was still a fairly useful performance, and he only lost out to a much-improved stablemate who enjoyed the run of things. He's got bundles to recommend him on paper, and considering he still looked rough around the edges last time, he looks worthy of another chance to get back on track for the in-form Aidan O'Brien team, which has won three of the past eight renewals of this particular maiden.
It's a shame that we haven't seen Psychedelic Funk since his reappearance at Naas in April, when winning the Group 3 Gladness Stakes in convincing fashion. He heads here after an absence, something he is more than capable of defying, and looks to have leading claims of adding a third Group 3 success to his tally. Imaging is the main threat, but he has a 4 lb to find with the selection on Timeform weight-adjusted ratings, and at the prices, it's worth siding with Psychedelic Funk to win this race for the second year running.
Stooshie was really starting to get the hang of things when last seen, following up a win at Downpatrick last Boxing Day with a career best effort to finish third at Navan in January, keeping on without troubling the principles. He's still lightly raced over timber, with four starts so far, and his opening mark looks a workable one now switched to handicap company. The Gordon Elliott team have a good record here at Tipperary, and Stooshie is fancied to make a bold bid.
