Nick Shiambouros was on the mark yesterday when his selection Maria's Benefit won at Taunton. Nick hopes to end 2017 with a couple of winners from Lingfield and Uttoxeter...
"He is improving with racing and will appreciate the extra yardage"
I am going to take a chance with Furzig in this interesting race.
In truth he was a little disappointing last time out when finishing fifth to Royal Prospect at Newcastle. He held every chance two furlongs from home, but was easily brushed aside and finished well beaten. He is best judged on his promising debut when finishing a closing third to Global Tango. I think he is well worth another chance, and is fairly priced at [7.4] on the Exchange.
Renny's Lady is the favourite at [3.45] on the Exchange. This filly caught the eye on debut when finishing fourth to Dancing Brave Bear over this course earlier this month. She put in some good work in the closing stages, and finished the race with good energy. Improvement is expected, but her price is a little thin.
Game On is taken to upset the short priced favourite in this maiden hurdle.
This gelding finished second to Knight In Dubai at Wetherby earlier this month. He kept on really well in the closing stages, but the winner was long gone and had to settle for a place. He is improving with racing and will appreciate the extra yardage. At present he is trading at [5.5] on the Exchange which is more than fair.
Juge Et Parti is trading at [2.04] on the Exchange. He was turned over at short odds when finishing second at Ffos Las last month. His jumping left a bit to be desired, but was beaten fair and square. He won a bumper in great style in the spring, but that was on much better ground. I can afford to let him win at this price.
